Double duty

[edit]

This page says Lee Roy drove a Merc. This page says Ford. Unless he changed teams mid-season, one of them has to be wrong... TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 23:53, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

asterisks

[edit]

why do some races have asterisks? I thought it was due to the notes but 2011 doesn't have an asterisk 74.108.173.238 (talk) 22:35, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

World 600

[edit]

Why is this article called Coke 600 when for the majority of the history of the event it was called the World 600? Should an encyclopedia change history every time a sponsor is changes. Is there a policy to cover this sort of thing? -- 109.76.217.1 (talk) 23:55, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Even when this question was posted the Coca-Cola name had been attached to this for over three decades, longer than the 25 years before it came into use. So it was not the majority of the race's history at all, let alone now.
And yes, sponsors names are used when they meet WP:COMMONNAME, which this certainly does. The Coca-Cola 600 name has been in use for so long that the World 600 name is obscure trivia, not the common name at all. oknazevad (talk) 16:18, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

May 27 2020 Date

[edit]

The Coke 600 is running May 24, 2020 and not May 27, 2020. The May 27th date is to make up the race that would have been at Sonoma. Why is the May 27th date included in this page? It has no relevance or linkage to the Coke 600. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.248.236.27 (talk) 20:58, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
