POV in CPP's aim
[edit]I changed the paragraph to make it more NPOV. You also need to cite the source of this statement, otherwise it is not fit for this article. --Quess 10:09, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Propaganda
[edit]This article reads like propaganda --Descendall 01:27, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
The section "The amnesty will cover the crime of rebellion and all other crimes "in pursuit of political beliefs," but not including crimes against chastity, rape, torture, kidnapping for ransom, use and trafficking of illegal drugs and other crimes for personal ends and violations of international law or convention and protocols "even if alleged to have been committed in pursuit of political beliefs."" sounds as if it assumes that the organization has taken part in these activities. --CB —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.189.137.193 (talk) 19:49, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
"Prophecy" doesn't sound like the right word
[edit]On that section on the bottom of the article, I'm not sure "prophecy" is an accurate word. It sounds more like it should be "prediction." Prophecies relate to the supernatural; predictions do not. From the indication on the article, it seems like it's just a political prediction and nothing more. I'd change it but I don't know anything about this topic and I don't wanna change anything.J.J. Bustamante (talk) 22:07, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
On Political Ideology of the CPP.
[edit]I think Maoism is the main ideology of the party now the same with NPA it's armed wing.--121.54.68.114 (talk) 07:48, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
CPP Flag is not represented correctly and CPP Establishment date is confusing
[edit]the cpp flag should not have any stars on its just a pure yellow hammer and sickle in international red background. CPP establishment is December 26, 1968, NPA establishment is March 29, 1969.
CPP Chairmanship and Headquarters is definitely subjective. added CPP's General Political Line
[edit]the chairmanship and headquarters of the cpp should not reflect Joma Sison and The Netherlands since that its clearly stated in the CPP's by laws that the CPP Chairman should be located in the philippines and should be a Filipino Citizen so definitely the HQ of CPP will not be in a foreign Country, plain and simple.
Merge with New People's Army article?
[edit]I made a proposal at Talk:New People's Army#Merge this article with Communist Party of the Philippines and Communist insurgency in the Philippines article?. Please comment there so that there is only one discussion and we can reach a WP:Consensus.--Iloilo Wanderer (talk) 02:00, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
World Mathaba Organization
[edit]Gaddafi used his World Mathaba Organization to support various revolutionary separatist groups
Hasan di Tiro helped Mathaba and Gaddafi support the Free Papua Movement of Jacob Prai, the Kanak faction in New Caledonia, the South Maluku Separatists, and the Moro National Liberation Front led by Nur Misuari in the Philippines.

COLONEL GADDAFI'S shadowy international revolutionary organisation Mathaba, established in the Libyan capital of Tripoli and dispensing funds to liberation movements around the world, is run by a most unlikely radical. Tunku Mohammed Hassan di Tiro, a Sumatran prince, fervent Muslim and bitter opponent of Indonesia, is the chairman of Mathaba's political committee.... Hassan di Tiro himself makes the crucial decisions, and runs a personal network of contacts with the liberation movement leaders Libya supports, among them Jacob Prai of the OPM (Free Papua Movement) of West Papua and Yann Ce- tene Uregei of New Caledonia's Kanak radical faction,
In an exclusive interview with Pacific Islands Monthly, at his headquarters in Tripoli, he outlined Mathaba's organisation and aims for the Asia Pacific region. The Mathaba Against Imperialism, Racism, Zionism and Fascism, to give the front its

Vietnam Communist Party flag.
[edit]Is there any reason as to why the flag of the Communist Party of Vietnam is in the infobox for the Communist Party of the Philippines? Elevatorrailfan (talk) 01:26, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
- See this edit. By my research, it's not exactly identical, as there are an additional three outlines of stars forming a triangle (see Flag of the Philippines) outside the hammer and sickle. –HTD 15:12, 15 January 2015 (UTC)

Clarify
[edit]Might want to clarify this: "The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) was reestablished on December 26, 1968, coinciding with the 75th birthday of Mao Zedong, the Chinese communist leader of the People's Republic of China (PRC)" - what was reestablished from (i.e. what was its predecessor)? Ednim (talk) 01:45, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- The predecessor was Partido Komunista ng Pilipinas-1930, which CPP considers as having strayed into revisionism. --Soman (talk) 11:22, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
