User:Johnelwayrules tagged this article as being written like an advertisement. If you agree with that assessment, please identify specific passages, because I don't see it. Mgreason (talk) 00:41, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here are some quotes which sound like promotion:
Under "Gainsville" "It closed and he learned a valuable lesson about absentee ownership."
This sound possible POV, i.e., someone's opinion about the experience rather than an objective assessment
Under "Lawsuit" " Hooters was also concerned about more WingHouse expansion and that WingHouse was doing better than Hooters."
This also sounds POV - Some verifiable source (food or restaurant critic/public survey/difference in profits, etc.) is needed to establish the claim "better"
Under "Franchising": WingHouses differ from other wing restaurants in several areas. Ker's emphasizes fresh product over frozen; they feature a full liquor bar; sports memorabilia lines the walls instead of NASCAR; "most locations include a game room. The company has extensive and well-established policies and procedures to ensure that costs are controlled and the customer experience is consistent regardless of the restaurant's location."
This sounds like it could be an advertisement for franchising -- It's more a matter of tone than content
Overall, I think it's a great article, and have no issues with the description of Mr. Ker's football career. While WingHouse is clearly an important part of Mr. Ker's biography, the writing sounds a bit too much like an advertisement than an objective description, as I have indicated above. I've removed the tag after the recent edits -- the stuff that raised red flags for me is gone or cited.Johnelwayrules (talk) 14:25, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ker's WingHouse - Separate article

[edit]

I wonder if this should be spun off into a separate article? Ker's WingHouse is noteworthy on its own, and would really need a separate article if anyone wanted to deal with the business in more detail than offered here (otherwise, it would have undue weight, I imagine, in a biography).
