Why didn't England enter the tournament? The Commonwealth Games originate from England, don't they? I also remember that India and Pakistan has depleted sides because of the 1998 Sahara Cup. Should that be included? DaGizza 11:09, 23 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the info about India and Pakistan; now added, though I'm not intending to write a summary of every team's composition. England's reasons for not entering (fixture clash, basically) are already mentioned near the start of the second paragraph. Loganberry (Talk) 14:03, 23 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Caribbean Nations' Involvement Criteria[edit]

Why did some Caribbean nations enter, and others (eg Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana) not take part? Was there some sort of pre-qualifying tournament or was it based on placings in that year's domestic competition standings? This should be included somewhere in the article if anyone knows, as qualifying tournaments are usually included in articles like this where available. There certainly wasn't a qualifying tournament for the West Indies teams, nor was it based on the domestic competition - if memory serves me correctly, those three teams were the only West Indies based teams to elect to send a team. Andrew nixon (talk) 16:45, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merged articles[edit]

I have redirected the article Cricket at the Commonwealth Games, as there is little that can be said in that article that isn't also said here. Similarly, Cricket at the Summer Olympics already redirects to Cricket at the 1900 Summer Olympics. 86.164.110.15 (talk) 09:01, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
