Complete List ?

[edit]

Hello, I'm seeking a complete list of *all* Multimedia products by Delrina; I already added the second Opus & Bill Screensaver, and I know there were the Flintstones and the The Far Side Screensavers; however, I lack too much knowledge of them to be sure enough to post them.

Anyone having them could please post them with their *complete* titles and their release date (which is relatively easy to find out by looking at the date stamps of the product's program and otherwise files).

older entries

[edit]

Further areas for possible improvement:

  • logo, box shots, screenshots, etc.
  • info on Delrina's financials (necessary?)
  • more detailed info on the forms product line, including one screenshot/picture (necessary?)
  • listing of companies that followed in Delrina's wake by principles/ex-employees
  • create at least stub articles for the products mentioned in the intro paragraph

I contracted for the Kirkland office for eight weeks in October/November 1994, working on the Mac version of their screensavers. —Ashley Y 00:12, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Annual revenue

[edit]

What currency is the annual revenue in? US dollars or Canadian dollars? Pburka 02:49, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Canadian dollars. --Optichan 14:47, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of criticism

[edit]

The lack of critical content in this article is striking. What's with the boosterism for Echo Park? Tempshill 18:56, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • "Boosterism"? It *was* an innovative product for the time, and the text is critical saying that it was a product arguably too far ahead of its time to be used in the way intended. And as I responded to a similar question when this was up as a Feature Article candidate, I replied that frankly, there was some criticisms that were floating around about how the firm was run, but nothing I could find *that was documented*. Rumour has no place in an article striving to be encyclopedic. In the end I think the most damning criticism about the firm is the fact that almost none of its products lived long after the company was bought by Symantec -- which I don't see so much as a criticism of Symantec, save for the fact that perhaps they paid too much. But there again, that is opinion, not fact... I would encourage you to find documented dirt, and add it where appropriate to the article. ;-) For me the exercise was more about documenting an innovative software firm about which has otherwise faded from memory. Wow, great article

No, really, it's fantastic. Maury 21:31, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:JeffersonAirplane-30SecondsOverWinterland(album-cover).jpg

[edit]

Image:JeffersonAirplane-30SecondsOverWinterland(album-cover).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

FA in need of review

[edit]

This Featured Article does not meet current FA criteria, particularly 1. c) "claims are verifiable against high-quality reliable sources and are supported by inline citations where appropriate".

The "Post-Delrina" section is practically unsourced, and that is a sizeable, very fact-heavy section. Also, I don't consider XDL Capital provided seed capital prior to Delano listing publicly. Bennie was the Chairman. Delano was listed on NASDAQ (DTEC) was subsequently sold to divine in 2003. to be FA-worthy prose. That whole section needs a copyedit.

There are other place missing citations, such as "Multimedia products" and the "List of Delrina products". RetiredDuke (talk) 18:55, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
