About the article title and recent move warring

[edit]

@SwissArmyGuy: I declined your request for move protection because it is unclear which name spelling is correct. The person who keeps changing it to Jelusick, User:DinoRocker, implies by his edit summaries that he IS Dino Jelusić.[1] I don’t see any attempt at his talk page to get him to clarify whether he is or not. Also, I don’t see any discussion on this article talk page about what the name spelling should be. You just keep reverting to the original name Dino Jelusić, but a Google search gives quite a bit of evidence that he is now spelling it Jelusick. These are issues that you need to look into and resolve. -- MelanieN (talk) 20:03, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

His birth name and surname are Dino Jelusić, however, his new professional name is Dino Jelusick. The new, an American way of spelling of his name, isn't very different and as such is fine.--Miki Filigranski (talk) 09:35, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Copyediting

[edit]

I changed the section headers a bit, to allow for ease of editing. Next, I worked on the prose. Have not done the last two paragraphs, will have to read the sources to figure out....

So, not a final, best effort, but I have tried! Tribe of Tiger Let's Purrfect! 03:40, 20 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dino JelusickDino Jelusić – Per Croatian naming customs in Slavic, they used "-ić" suffix. 177.221.140.99 (talk) 11:15, 5 April 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. ModernDayTrilobite (talkcontribs) 14:02, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with this move. His artist name is Dino Jelusick, and as this is how he is primarily known, changing the article name would not benefit the reader. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 20:05, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Most sources claim "Jelusić" ([2], [3], [4], [5]) in Croatian surname customs, compared with "Jelusick" ([6], [7]) in various sources. 103.159.47.42 (talk) 00:59, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
his official website says Jelusick as well as his Facebook. I don't see why it needs to be changed. Mewhen123 (talk) 14:38, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Mewhen123: Facebook is not a reliable source, that fails WP:BLPPRIMARY and WP:BLPSPS. 177.234.199.11 (talk) 10:40, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In the case of this conversation it is relevant for gaging which spelling to use. Mewhen123 (talk) 10:41, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
