Variety of English

This article about a British chicken breed uses British English, per WP:TIES. In that variety of English, "cock" is used to refer to the male chicken as to other male birds (cock pheasant, cock sparrow etc.); "rooster" isn't used. Personal recollection: when the Stones version of Little Red Rooster came out in about 1963, I didn't know what the title meant. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 09:25, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
