HORRIBLE

[edit]

""Duane Bobick , born 24 September 1950 in Little Falls, Minnesota. World amateur heavyweight champion in 1971 who fought for the United States in the 1972 Summer Olympics, and later contended for the world heavyweight belt during the division's most highly rated era.""

What did he fight in? Heavyweight champion at what? What did he compete in the olympics for? This is a poorly written article...--Donnie from the mean streets of Boston, KY 20:43, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Duane boxed in Golden Gloves as an amateur as well as in the Navy.
The article says he was a former boxer, which I thought made it pretty clear that he competed in the Olympics as a boxer.
