Merging to Ducati 860 GT[edit]

Unless there is significant objection, this page needs to be merged to Ducati 860 GT. Ian Falloon says "Responding to poor sales, Ducati hurridely restyled the 860 GT during 1975 to create the 860 GTS" and "The 860 GTS was called the 900 GTS for 1978, but there were no other changes except the electrical system and switches" and the 1979 900 GTS got some engine changes form the 900 SD Darmah. (Standard Catalog of Ducati Motorcycles). Mick Walker says the same thing in The Ducati Story.

So the main model split was 1975/1976, and the name only changed from 860 GT to 860 GTS. All they did was restyle the tank and change the handlebars, which isn't enough reason for a separate article. The name change to 900 GTS was even less significant, and it wasn't actually a new model. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 16:25, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
