Surname
[edit]UEFA lists this player as Eran Zehavi. Unless someone opposes, I am changing this name. -NYC2TLV (talk) 19:02, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Translation and NPOV issues
[edit]Club career (Hapoel Tel Aviv) tag is full of unnecessary words and details, such as "fierce, glorious, a true winner, scored a bicycle kick". This section looks more like a fan page.
Also, there are some translation issues (such as "card for the Champions League"). In general, the whole section is written very poorly.
Changing the few details mentioned will not do, as the whole passage should be rewritten. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.165.128.231 (talk) 20:29, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
Table needs correction
[edit]In the section on Career Statistics, the table is messed up. Specifically, the first two columns. Ijon Tichy (talk) 23:40, 24 August 2016 (UTC)

user:Snowflake91 is a troll who bullies other editors to get ownership over "his" wiki articles
[edit]Please refrain from edit warring and try to discuss and resolve nicely and politely, each and every revert you made to other reliable additions of other editors who used many valid sources. 2A0D:6FC0:1903:7100:E428:9058:3791:BE6E (talk) 11:19, 6 April 2022 (UTC)
- Regarding this diff:
- "Israel" as a well-known geographical place should not be linked per WP:OVERLINK.
- You changed the names of two clubs for no reason – we use the club's names at the time when the player was at that club, and not the current names. So it should be "Ironi Rishon LeZion" and "Ironi Ramat HaSharon", because they renamed to "Hapoel" after Zahavi already left them.
- "is an Israeli association footballer" ---> just footballer, we never use "association footballer", at least I didnt see this anywhere
- Overlinking of Israeli national team in the lead, already linked in the first paragraph.
- "...and has amassed over 67 appearances since then" – why "over 67"? We round to the numbers like 60, 65, 70...not 67. So either write "has earned 70 appearances since then" or "has earned over 65 appearances", not "over 67".
- In "PSV Eindhoven" section:
- Almost entire text was copy/pasted from there, which is a copyright violation
- Your text make no sense anyway, its just some random journalistic gibberish – you quoted some text in quotation marks without even explaining who the hell said that
- "The Israeli international was also twice named as MVP" is another journalistic gibberish, use "Zahavi" or "he" and not "Israeli international"
- Which journalist presented him with the trophy is irrelevant
- "The player also receives his own upgraded Eredivisie Player of the Month-card in FIFA 22, which upgraded him from an average rating of 80 to 86" is also completely irrelevant and doesnt belong to Wikipedia, and again stupid copied text from the website by using "the player" instead of "he" / "Zahavi"
- "With a score of 95.7, Zahavi managed to stay ahead of many others impressive footballers" – yet another irrelevant thing, just some bullshit statistical index, its just a monthly award and nothing more so it doesnt need so many details, and WHICH are those "impressive footballers"?
- In "International" section, you used repetitive text all over again with those "he was 3rd best scorer of the qualifiers, along with XX and YY players and behind ZZ player", the same text was used for three consecutive qualifiers and is repetitive, just mention how many goals he scored and not which players were ahead of him because thats not important, this is not the golden boot or something and you dont get an award for being the top goalscorer of the qualifying group.
- "Personal life" section:
- "Match between his Dutch side PSV Eindhoven" – "Dutch" is not needed there, it is literally mentioned in the first part of the sentence that we are talking about Eredivisie, so its probably not Maltese club or something
- Why did you change from "On 12 December 2021, their house" to "On 12 December 2021, Their house", check some grammar rules when to use capitalization of words
- Do not include "Israeli wife", a wife is a wife, her nationalitiy is completely irrelevant, especially since Zahavi is also Israeli, check David Beckham or something, you wont find "his English wife Victoria" there, just another unnecessary thing you add
- Do not overlink, you linked Amsterdam twice in this section, and only the name of the city is enough, don't write "Amsterdam, Netherlands" per common sense
- Don't use POV words like "fortunely", words like that have no place in Wikipedia per neutrality of tone (and the word is misspelled by the way)
- "Honours" section:
- No source for "Israeli Premier League Player of the Month" award for December 2014
- No source for "2015–16 UEFA Champions League qualifying phase - Top scorer" award, and even if there would be a source that he scored 7 goals, being the top scorer of the qualifiers is not an actual award of any kind, no one treats this as a honour and he was not officially awarded by UEFA for this
- "2020 UEFA Euro qualifying Group G - Top scorer" and "2022 FIFA World Cup qualification – UEFA Group F - Top scorer" – same shit as above, being the top scorer of the qualyfing group is not an award of any kind, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players#Honours which awards are acceptable and which are not notable
- Why the hell did you change from "Eredivisie Player of the Month" to "Dutch Premier League (Eredivisie) Player of the Month" ? What is a "Dutch Premier League", you literally made this name up, its called Eredivisie and should be like that
- Categories:
- [[Category:Association football wingers]] is a subcategory of [[Category:Association football midfielders]] , so you cannot use both in one article, it should be either Wingers or Midfielders
So thats pretty much it, basically you just added a lot of mess and didn't improve the article in any way...anything else? Snowflake91 (talk) 15:09, 6 April 2022 (UTC)
