Fair use rationale for Image:Ourworld fallen.jpg

[edit]

Image:Ourworld fallen.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I am an LCMS NAtional Missionary, and I know Marcus personnally. I am quite hapy to vouch for Marcus' being a Lutheran. He is a graduate of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, he worships at a Lutheran Church in Memphis, TN (Family of Christ Lutheran Church - Nashville), he confesses the Book of Concord. What more do you need?

@Elderdxc – We need verifiable, reliably sourced material, from disconnected third-parties (see: WP:V, WP:RS, and WP:IS, respectively). Please also be especially aware and mindful of WP:BLP. Regarding your personal relationship with the subject: please review WP:COI, and mayhaps WP:N.
That is what we need.
Additionally: a large amount of content was removed due to not being properly sourced, or failing verification when those sources were checked; which violates our policies on living persons (WP:BLP). This is noted further down on this talk-page in "BLP issues; pending removals" section. You can review the removed material within the article's history page by viewing the diffs (see: H:DIFF for information), and are free to reinclude this material once deficiencies are rectified.
A lot to dump on someone new, I know. If you need guidance, or assistance: feel free to reach out on my talk page (help yourself first though!). Thank you, and welcome to Wikipedia! -- dsprc [talk] 15:58, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
What would qualify as 3rd party source? His website? Our podcast link? We are both public figures; he moreso than I am. He has even published a book recounting his embrace of Confessional Evangelical theology. Elderdxc (talk) 06:01, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

BLP issues; pending removals

[edit]

A large chunk of this article is unsourced. Interested parties are encouraged to reliably source, and cite said claims. Time is being given – but not much – for interested parties to take such action. Otherwise, it's all hitting the chopping block per WP:BLP. -- dsprc [talk] 09:25, 15 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
