"By the way, Gnetum gnemon is not the cause of gout disease (uric acid disease)."
[edit]Why is this of interest? Has anyone claimed otherwise?
- Recently, Japanese scientists found that Gnetum gnemon is not the cause of gout (uric acid disease).
Looking at the history, the original formulation of this sentence at least made some sense:
- Recently, Japanese scientists found that Gnetum gnemon (Melinjo) is not the cause of gout disease (uric acid disease) which has been suspected by Indonesian for many years.
Is the latter part unsubstantiated? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.251.163.199 (talk) 10:12, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
