I disimbauged the page to distinguish both the seiyu and the driver. All redirects of "Hiroshi Masuoka" before this move redirect to the race car driver. I didn't want people to get confused with the seiyu of the same name. Sjones2322:21, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please make sure you create an article so that this disambiguation is justified. As per WP:MOSDAB, "Disambiguation pages are solely intended to allow users to choose among several Wikipedia articles, usually when a user searches for an ambiguous term...Adding links to articles not yet written should be done with care. There is no need to brainstorm all occurrences of the page title and create redlinks to articles that are unlikely ever to be written, or likely to be removed as insufficiently notable topics." If nothing appears in due course I'll request that the move be undone, considering that even the Japanese Wikipedia only has a page on the rally driver... --DeLarge23:05, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I created an article on Hiroshi Masuoka (seiyū) and when I found out about the redirect of the seiyu to the rally driver, I wanted to create a Disambiguation page, even before I did the article. Now that this article has 2 articles, I will keep this disaumbigation page for good Sjones2323:17, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The rally driver is clearly the primary meaning (see Google results), not to mention that there are only two Hiroshi Masuokas. Therefore, the rally driver's article should be here at "Hiroshi Masuoka", with {{for}} on top for the voice actor, like this. There is no need for a disambiguation page. I think this rally driver's article should be moved to Hiroshi Masuoka (race car driver), Hiroshi Masuoka (rally driver) or other, and Hiroshi Masuoka should been a disambiguation page. Because Hiroshi Masuoka of voice actor is actualy far more famous (at least, the majority of all Japanese know his voice) and his acting roles are culturally very important in Japan because Masuo Fuguta and Jam-ojisan are not characters that only 'anime fans' know but are characters that the majority of Japanese know. I think it is necessary to give priority to Masuoka of voice actor if wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Though I think competing for the number of Google's results to have only a little significant, the result of 増岡浩 (rally driver) is over 8,300 and 増岡弘 (seiyu) is over 67,000, I think the difference is very clear. --Morio (talk) 04:59, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
