Biography
[edit]Currently the whole text of #1 is "Janice Silverman Rebibo was born in Boston, Massachusetts and studied at Boston Hebrew College. She later immigrated to Israel. Rebibo died of cancer, aged 65. She is survived by her father, Henry Silverman, and by her two children.". The last sentence appears to be almost directly from the end of the JTA obituary: "is survived by her father, Henry Silverman, and two children" https://www.jta.org/2015/03/15/obituaries/american-born-israeli-poet-janice-silverman-rebibo-dies-at-65.
On the basis of the Hebrew article and the Dignity Memorial obituary something like the following would be more encyclopaedic: "Janice Rose Rebibo was born in Brookline, Massachusetts to Henry Silverman and Eve (Schiffman), She studied Linguistics and Hebrew Literature at Boston Hebrew College. In 1987 she immigrated to Israel and settled in Rehovot. She died of cancer, aged 65. She was survived by her father, and by her children Michal and Shimon." citing https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/brookline-ma/janice-rebibo-6359355.
The Hebrew article mentions she visited Israel aged 21 {1971?} where she learned Hebrew at Emek Hayarden ulpan and studying at the universities of Massachusetts and Brunswick {which perhaps should be New Brunswick}, Canada; also that she died in Boston {should that be Brookline?} and was buried in Gederah. Maybe those details should be included. Mcljlm (talk) 05:31, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
