just so you know, he dies yesterday.. please someone update this poast.. thank you. RIP Joey..

My husband died Oct 15, 2006 and I’m still trying to fix all errors someone put on this page. From birthday to age and trying to get the marriage added Jmaggs9 (talk) 21:27, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Jmaggs9: There appear to be two contradictory claims by claimed spouses. That's why we need published reliable sources. —C.Fred (talk) 21:28, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Joey only married once. We meet in 1992 in Alabama and we married in 1999 and was still married at time of death. His correct birthday was September 29, 1967 I spent a total of 15 years with him I was with him at death and 6 months before when we lost his mom. I was even with him in 1998 when he lost his baby brother. My husband is the middle child of 5

I am who he married. He was my husband, my best friend my world.

He was also 5 foot 9 and only 230 pounds. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jmaggs9 (talkcontribs) 21:36, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Jmaggs9: Unless you have published sources for this material, we cannot use any of it in the article. Further, since you are holding yourself out to have a conflict of interest with the subject, you should not edit the article directly. —C.Fred (talk) 00:41, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Poor article IMO

[edit]

You need date of birth and date of death by his name. This is a horribly typed article. Also he wasn't 6'1 HAHAHA more like 5'9" that needs to be changed...

I am one of Joseph Magliano’s sister. My brother is the middle child of 5. He paid and set this Wikipedia up long before his death and since death someone has made changes to false information. His wife who was taken off content of page has even been trying to fix all info back to correct info. We pay good money on the behalf of my brother to help knowledge his fans as well as the family who where just kids at time of passing. There is a member who keeps changing info back to false info. I need help getting all info corrected and the spouse added back to the content. Thanks. The info seen as for height and weight is correct at current time until this other person puts it back to false info. My brother was only 5’9 and 227lbs and his wife’s name is Peppar Smothers married in 1999-2006 at death they met in 1991 when both where very young and grew in love over phone conversations until she reached the age to marry my brother. Two things, based on your statements:
First, you have a conflict of interest and should not be editing the article directly. Articles should be written by independent editors and based on published reliable sources. You may request edits here on the talk page, and you must cite reliable sources for the changes.
Second, if there are editors who have been paid to edit this page, they must disclose that they are a paid editor and ho is paying them to edit. Articles should be created by volunteers. Nobody can buy an article by making a payment to Wikipedia, and nobody owns an article. —C.Fred (talk) 21:39, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Update

[edit]

Date of birth is wrong. I spent 15 years with Joseph. 7 of them as his spouse. His birthday day is September 29, 1967 and he was 39 years old at time of death. I Peppar Magliano was his spouse from 1999 to 2006 which was his death. DollDunn03 (talk) 02:06, 14 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I lost all my info to the dolldunn03 page had to start a new page and I am the only Peppar Magliano aka Peppar Smothers around — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jmaggs9 (talkcontribs) 21:37, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
And this is exactly why Wikipedia policies say we need published sources, not the word of the (alleged) spouse of the subject. —C.Fred (talk) 00:39, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

How can I send proof of some changes needing to be excepted on J. MAGGS Mississippi1979 (talk) 06:02, 15 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Mississippi1979: Provide links to the published reliable sources. —C.Fred (talk) 02:36, 16 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Everyone needs to go to www.findagrave.com

[edit]

My husband Joey Maggs aka Joseph Magliano needs to have all his info updated when you go to findagrave you will find him with birthday September 29, 1967 and death October 15, 2006. It even list his parents. Who are also deceased. I was married to him from Dec 1999 til death but had been with him since 1992. His height was 5’9” and he was only 230 pounds. Jmaggs9 (talk) 16:51, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Find a Grave is not considered a reliable source, since it's user-generated content. Do you have any reliable, third-party sources to support your claims? With user-generated content, we have no way to verify it, and verifiability is key. NekoKatsun (nyaa) 16:59, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The Slam story, which is not archived, says he was 39 when he died. There is no source for the other dob that was in the article. I am not accepting 29 Sep 1967 as a date of birth, since there is no direct, reliable source for it. However, I do accept that based on the sources in the article, dob was in 1966 or 1967. That's as specific as is sourced right now. —C.Fred (talk) 17:10, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Slam moved to canoe.com and has a dob listed in the story. I have updated the article accordingly. —C.Fred (talk) 18:50, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
And now there's nothing at canoe.com, but the slam story is in archive.org. Go figure. —C.Fred (talk) 03:09, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I will be getting in touch with my attorney on this issue and putting a lawsuit against any and all who keep messing with my page. Jmaggs9 (talk) 16:54, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Jmaggs9: You do not own this article. Also, please review no legal threats and withdraw the above message. —C.Fred (talk) 17:01, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Jmaggs9: You need to go contact Find A Grave, Slam Canoe, IMDb, and Wikipedia about this. If you go to IMDb it has a photo of Tom Zenk. Don't if you know that. It is the incorrect photo of him. We are just finding reliable sources that say his date of birth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ‎ Kingzwest (talkcontribs) 15:51, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if this site is reliable, but it has his billed height and weight https://www.wrestlingdata.com/index.php?befehl=bios&wrestler=2159C.Fred (talk) 18:52, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Removed the undisclosed paid editing template

[edit]

I have removed the template because the only source we have that indicates the article was created/modified for pay says that the article subject (who died in 2006) paid for it himself. That was long before there was a requirement in the terms of use to disclose paid editing, so the template does not apply. It may be reasonable to place some variation of a COI template on the article; however, the current article bears almost no relation to the original one, so it could well be moot. On a more prosaic note, it may be worthwhile to have editors who specialize in professional wrestling articles to take a look at this one and make recommendations for next steps. Risker (talk) 04:25, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Clicked on the slam wrestling link and notice the article was gone. Probably because it was too old and they cleaned their website. I guess the linked described the cause of death. On his profile it said he died of a cardiac arrest. This is the first time for me reading this after all these years of not knowing his death. I have specifically contacted his wife, Jmaggs9 and asked her the cause of death. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kingzwest (talkcontribs) 02:47, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Kingzwest: Remember that first-hand inquiries do not qualify as reliable sources. We need to go with a published source. —C.Fred (talk) 02:53, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I've also removed the cause of death because it was not mentioned in the article—nor, for that matter, was his exact date of death, only that it was on the weekend before publication of the story. Additionally, I've removed his date of birth, which was also unsourced. Finally, I've added a link to the story at an archive site. —C.Fred (talk) 03:01, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@C.Fred:Thank you! I found a profile of him on Find A Grave.com and it said September 29, 1969. Strange that there is not official cause of death after all these years. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kingzwest (talkcontribs) 14:36, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Kingzwest: Findagrave is not a reliable source. —C.Fred (talk) 16:34, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
