this article is pretty deeply informal, down to the subheadings. Joeyramoney 06:20, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article title

[edit]

Hi. There's a request at Requested moves to move this article from the title Johnny Kidd and the Pirates to Johnny Kidd and The Pirates, capitalizing the t in the. I checked the page (WP:MUSTARD (?)) where Wikipedia:WikiProject Music keeps their naming conventions, and I read there that there's a convention to prefer titles styled as Johnny Kidd & the Pirates, with an ampersand and a lower-case t. I wonder if anybody has a strong opinion on whether this convention should be followed in this particular case... -GTBacchus(talk) 06:23, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, well it seems to have been moved to Johnny Kidd & The Pirates. Seems alright. -GTBacchus(talk) 09:26, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

dismissed as novelty?

[edit]

The article states "Though sometimes dismissed as a novelty act because of this gimmick"... but does anyone really dismiss them? You'd have to be seriously ignorant to do that! DavidFarmbrough (talk) 08:05, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

hello i'm pretty sure The Pirates own single contained My Babe and Casting My Spell not My Babe and I Can Tell. 92.17.160.143 (talk) 23:13, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Joe Moretti

[edit]

Hey. I'm currently working on an article for Joe Moretti who played guitar on The Pirates' Shakin' All Over. Does anyone have any more info about other sessions he played on? In particular "Don't Sleep in the Subway": a track this article claims he played some part in.

Cheers!
