OAM
[edit]this lists her as being an Order of Australia recipient, however I cant find it in the honour roll. John Vandenberg (chat) 04:37, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
- She's listed there under her full name. Graham87 05:49, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
- I think that is someone else as the second name is different and the citation is "OAM(MIL) QB87. FOR SERVICE TO THE ROYAL AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE AS AN INSTRUMENT FITTER AT NO 5 SQUADRON". John Vandenberg (chat) 06:06, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
- Oops, didn't notice that! I've reverted myself. Graham87 06:52, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
- I suspect the Honour Roll has an incorrect citation, and that Kathy Watt the cyclist does indeed have an Order of Australia Medal. Check this story which explains that all Barcelona gold medallists received the OAM in 1993, including Kathy Watt. The Honour Roll also lists the recipient's suburb as "Warragul", which is Kathy's home town. Refer to this brief Wikipedia entry for Kathy's father which states as much. The Honour Roll does indeed have a different second name, but Anne vs Ann is a common mistake. I would say reinstate based on the evidence. Snubian (talk) 02:35, 24 July 2014 (UTC)
