Children's birthdates, Oprah, etc
[edit]We can't use older versions of the Wikipedia article as a source for the children's birth years. How do we know those people knew what they were talking about? And even if a newspaper article mentions a child's age, we can't say for sure what year they were born. Without knowing the exact month and day, we can only approximate things to a two-year date range. Even the Sweet 16 link doesn't clearly say anything, now that I look at it closely. I'm not even sure what the airdate was. Even with an airdate, they could have filmed long before it was put on the air. Zagalejo^^^ 18:42, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
- And once again, the IMDB source does not support the claims about the Oprah show. It only says that she appeared on the show. If there are no valid sources available, then it can't be in the article, period! (Plus, the sentence you keep adding is terrible: "It was reported that Tami had a license plate custom-made to mark her victory with the phrase "HISCASH" she stated on a episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show about spouses who cheat in marriage." That doesn't make any sense.) Zagalejo^^^ 01:48, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
- I started a discussion here. Zagalejo^^^ 01:50, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
- Unless this stuff is referenced to rock solid reliable sources with professional editorial control, and a reputation for accuracy and fact checking, none of this tabloid-Twitter-blog gossip content belongs in a biography of a living person. That's policy, and it applies to retired NBA players as well as every other living human being. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 04:23, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
The sentence DOES make sense. When I came to this article a whole section was DELETED by you. If you cared you would have took the time to do research. YOU DIDNT. Instead you deleted. Then when I began to edit you kept reverting saying it needs citations. Why did you delete the information months ago instead of taking the time to find sources ? If there is something you dont like, FIND A SOURCE for the info. You REFUSE to do that. You just keep deleting. 71.191.244.33 (talk) 14:33, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

A warring editor locked Kenny Anderson (basketball) which is totally inappropriate.
Of course zagalejo reverted to his version.

- Not done: I am not an administrator, but this article was protected because you insist on inserting unsourced (or poorly sourced) inappropriate personal information into the bio. The administrator who protected the article posted to WP:AN/I seeking comments on his actions, and they were endorsed. Until you indicate to us that you understand why we object to the information you insist on adding, this article will continue to be protected, and when it ceases to be protected, your changes will be reverted if they continue to violate our policies. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 18:08, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
Hmm he an ANI was posted but I was not notified. Not fair at all. 21:39, 25 April 2013 (UTC) I found it : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard/Archive174#Kenny_Anderson_.28basketball.29 .22:52, 25 April 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.191.244.33 (talk)
- That's not ANI, that's BLP/N. There is no protocol in place that requires anyone to notify you of a discussion about an article there, because that noticeboard does not deal with editor conduct. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 02:46, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
