[edit]I have took the facts and translated from the article written in Burmese by Ludu Daw Ah Mar Mandalaythu Mandalaytha mya or Mandalayans 1991 book,"Burmese Muslim Kyar Ba Nyein” chapter[1] While Googling I found a blog with some of the scans of the book about the Burmese boxers especially from Mandalay, including Kyar Ba Nyein. Mandalay 150 Anniversary Magazine, Shwebo Barmathi Aung Khin’s ,”Burmese famous boxers in the World Olympic Boxing Ring",page 430 [2], 431 [3]and 432[4] --Darz kkg (talk) 13:01, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- Although there are many issues with this article we all know that there is only ONE big issue with the Wikipedia editors or administrators.
See the multiple tags. He/She never understand Burmese language and even failed to think rationally. If do not understand, I am afraid he should just ask the help of many Burmese Wikipedians. Ludu Daw Amar was a vell known and respected journalist. She owned the Ludu newspaper. I hope all the Burmese Wiki editors know about Kyar Ba Nyein. He was the Burmese Boxing Champion represented the country even in Olympics and a Referee at the SEAP Game. He was the father of Burmese traditional boxing. I had not just given the name of two books but the scanned pages. I am fed up with this kind of editors. He should be BANNED for at least three months for this reckless action.--Darz kkg (talk) 14:21, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- The onus is on the editor to provide documentation and sources. Incorporate the sources you have found into the article. As it stands, there is much text yet no references for it. --Ari (talk) 06:17, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- I had already provided the sources, documentation and translation. But I have to admit that this article needs a lot of help from other editors to reach the Wiki standard.
- Problem is you cound not understand those sources and documentation but still come in wrongly just to score some points. Finding falts on others is easy for all the people. As an experienced Wikipedian, why you failed to sign after your talk? Not only me, a lot of people are fed up with Wikipedia because of these kind of insults. You could search the news yourself. I am not giving you the citation or reference of that news.--Darz kkg (talk) 05:33, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- Talk pages are not forums. Keep your rants to yourself - or at least on topic. It is the onus of the editor to supply citations. Just because you refuse to is your problem. --Ari (talk) 06:17, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- Actually the book I mentioned is No. 14th. Mandalaythu Mandalaytha mya - Mandalayans 1991 mentioned in wiki biography of Ludu Daw Amar under the Publications section.
- Because we translated from Burmese language, the wordings and spellings are sometimes accidently different. I will abide by the first stablished version in Wiki and change them later.
- I am not refusing to give the references for this article but just referring to the International news report about people, especially the new commers, got their ego abrased and tried to stay away from Wiki. I am not in a position or mood to discuss about this in your talk page but decided to put this here so that I could prove that there is a legitimate concerns and issues about this article. It is meant to avoid deletion of this article indiscriminately. Alhough putting in warnings of possible blockage in my talk page is like aggressive and rude, I hereby offer a peace offer to you. I understand that it is just a very minor issue and misunderstanding. I hope we all would be able to work together to improve Wikipedia. --Darz kkg (talk) 08:32, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- I found back the book:*Mandalay 150th. Anniversary Magazine (Printed in May 2009 published by U Sein Shwe @ Sein Shwe Hlaing, Chief Editor Maung Hla Paw - Mandalay.) Shwebo Barmati Aung Khin’s ,”Burmese famous boxers in the World Olympic Boxing Ring". In this book we could read about where Kyar Ba Nyein's breif history including the story about his 'unfair' defeat in Helsinki Olympics due to alleged fault of referee and his photograph.
Myanmar Olympians
Myanmar officially participated in the quadrennial Olympic Games since it’s independence in 1948, at the XIV Olympiad held in London.
XV Helsinki Olympic, Finland 1952.
B. Thompson, Tiger Ba Nyein, Stanley Majid, San Hla (All boxing)(anyhow San Hla could not participated due to increased body weight), Tun Maung (Weightlifting), Kyaw Yin (Weightlifting).
- Now I found the Wiki article about 1952 Summer Olympics boxing_
Featherweight (-57kg)

But I have to admit that this article needs the other editors' kind help to Wikify and improving is needed. --Darz kkg (talk) 05:38, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
