Seperating the FMs from their human counterparts

[edit]

Guys, I'm thinking we should seperate the FMs' articles from their human counterparts'. Each FM takes on a role of their own after their defeat, and this makes it very hard to talk about them with how things are set up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.209.197.226 (talk) 21:33, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore, the only FM-ians that deserve to be mentioned in the same section as their host is Lyra and Omega-Xis, because those are the ones who will keep coming back. The others are 1-shot game characters, with a few appeances in the anime. BassxForte 05:44, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

...Possibly. Although, define "few anime appearances"...the FMs appear in every episode. -Sukecchi 11:28, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It makes sense, I mean once we hit Ryuusei 2, characters like Bud and Luna are going to Get bigger stories which might not have anything to do with the FM's. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Neo Dream (talkcontribs) 15:33, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Character List

[edit]

I am glad that someone put dr.orihime on the character list, but now do Solo please-- User:Mark Alvarez

It would be best to wait for Ryuusei 2 to come out before adding the new characters. Like I've been saying. The reason for this is because we hardly know anything about them. -Sukecchi (talk) 02:19, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well,Mega Man Star Force 2 is coming out in Japan soon. I think then we can add Solo. -User:Mark Alvarez —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.65.112.15 (talk) 19:23, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Since the game has come out in Japan, Now we can add Dr.Orihime, Solo, and the rest. --User:Mark Alvarez —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.65.112.15 (talk) 17:29, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, they just can't look and read like crap. We'll work on it, in the meantime, register your account already. -Sukecchi (talk) 19:36, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I tried! I even changec my username to Mkalv! -- User:Mkalv —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.65.112.15 (talk) 01:44, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Separate Character's story for each version?

[edit]

Shouldn't each characters' story be separarted to: In the anime, in the game, and in the manga? Because only the manga one is separate from the rest. The anime and game are often different from each other and would be better to tell what happens in both anime and game instead of having the anime/game together. It's annoying and it makes it look like the anime and game are the same, but they're not on some levels. I would love to separate the story for each version, but I'm busy. Anyway what do you guys think? - November 18, 2007 6:30pm

I think that is a great idea! -- User:Mark Alvarez —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.65.112.15 (talk) 22:24, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"For Unknown Reasons"

[edit]

K2NR, I can sort of understand why you made these edits, but you need to understand that these localization discrepensies (sp?) between the game and anime are a serious matter. Viz Media (who translates the anime) is seemingly switching gears between acknowledging the games and pretending they don't exist. This sort of thing is totally unprofessional, and as you have noticed, it has happened on more than one occasion, and Viz isn't talking. These discrepensies make little, if any sense. That's why I said "for unknown reasons" when pointing these out. However, I won't challenge the edits you made, since you feel they are more "encyclopedic". I just felt I needed to emphasize the seriousness of this matter. Brittany Ka 14:32, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Arrangement

[edit]

Do we want to arrange these by type [i.e. All Wave Humans and Partners in a list] or by game [All SF characters, then all SF2 characters]? --LordHuffnPuff (talk) 18:06, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Name Puns

[edit]

I added info about the puns the creators and translators were using and it got removed due to "Original Research". I would also like to add that some of the puns are obvious, i.e. Tom Dubius and Sonia Strumm. I was wondering why it was removed. I admit it was original research in that I translated the names and saw they were blatantly similar in meaning to the translated names, but it's not as if my research is baseless without a site.

With that being said, should Original Research be cited for things that can't be proven baseless and can easily be backed up without the use of a source, such as a person who knows Japanese? If this is not the case, why is it that the Japan only characters aren't being questioned? It is clear that no one who keeps reverting my info knows Japanese (as they would then know my info is correct given that the names are translated to reflect their original names in some way and the original names reflect in some way the character), so how come no one here seems to question those as original research without a source? Like I said before, if you knew Japanese, you would clearly know that the names they are given were clearly intended as puns, with the names having an uncanny resemblance to their character. Utagai being the Japanese word for doubt (his character being full of doubt about people's intentions), and being named Tom Dubius (dubious meaning doubtful) in the translated version for starters. Voice actors for Hyde, Phantom, Gori, and Yeti

[edit]

Umm....yeah, WHAT? Is this vandalism that has gone unchecked or has Tribe been dubbed and no one in the Rockman community been notified? -Sukecchi (talk) 02:17, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could have been vandalism. Go delete it if you want.DragonZero (talk) 02:21, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I know it was vandalism. It is hard to denote sarcasm on the internet....-Sukecchi (talk) 12:50, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

Since I'm too busy to do the references for this, can someone work on it? Please use this for copying what the characters say. ref name: Speech. Capcom. Mega Man Star Force (Nintendo DS). Capcom. ref/DragonZero (talk) 03:44, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Geo and Omega

[edit]

Wouldn't make sense to make a separate page for Geo and Omega, since they are the main characters? --Yami♦Yui (talk) 19:33, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Only if we can find reasons they are important that are not inuniverse. Example, creation and conception, reception, etc. See Kurosaki Ichigo. DragonZero (talk) 03:40, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
