Yow, this is POV. It's also a potential copyright violation, though I suspect the Israeli MFA might be okay with this use. NPOV policy though, is surely not okay with it. A parallel discussion is being had at Terrorism against Israel. A NPOV article would almost certainly strike "terrorist(s)" for more descriptive labels, merge this data with a parallel timeline of other incidents of violence in the conflict, note the existence of the Suez Crisis, Qibya massacre etc. For now, I'm just cleaning out the word "miraculous" and some other small POV details.--Carwil 15:58, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There's no need to try to whitewash the facts. Israel suffered terrorism which is important to the understanding of the conflict. Qibya massacre (massacre being a POV term) tells one side of the story, this tells the other. Amoruso 22:53, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
To be clear that we're having the same discussion here: This is not an AfD request, but a claim of major POV in the title and article. Working from the sourcing up: the article has one source, which is highly biased (and quoted without marking it as quotation); the uniformly applied, potentially POV term 'terrorist' is applied repeatedly to no functional purpose (imagine an article on Indian attacks on American colonists using the phrase "merciless Indian savage" 40 times, with no further identification); assailants are uniformly unidentified and therefore abstracted from whatever intent they had; a variety of forms of attack are cited, solely based on Israeli losses, with potentially military attacks labeled as terrorism ("terrorist landmine"). To top it all off, the summary seeks to prove a political point without describing the point as what it is, an argument by the Israeli MFA. We can do better.--Carwil 04:49, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
ah well of course the article can be improved, it's a very new article and it should expand. Amoruso 08:29, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

this article is fine

[edit]

The title should stay up. The only thing I say is to tell what terrorist group they are doing the attacks. Other than that, this article is perfect.-Dendoi • contribs) 11:35 PM, 8 December 2006 (UTC).

Is there a category for Israeli terrorism against Arabs? I mean, using the term "terrorist" is completely unnecessary and biased. I don't see wikipedia calling the Irgun terrorists (look it up).

This is palestinian terror attacks on Israel. It's not about the irgun.-Dendoi

This article is anti-Israel. though it does talk about Palestinian terrorist attacks on Israel, it still says words like Zionist takeover. It falsely claims Israel's attacks on the egyptian military led to the creation of te fedayeen. there were no Israeli attacks on the egyptian military before the creation of the Fedayeen. The fedayeen was created as an attempt to destroy Israel using terrorism. Nasser who was a destructive war criminal and should have been tried in the Hague, was obsessed with trying to destroy Israel. He said,Our objection is Israel's destruction. The Arab people wan to fight.-Dendoi —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.237.15.20 (talk) 04:36, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As most of the instances have no proof of "terrorism" it makes a bit of a mockery of the title. Scorpion Bus pass, no proof beyond it may have been smugglers who happened to be Bedu from the Negeb??? There is a strong case to say that the perpetrators were Israeli Bedu.

  • Apr 29, 1956 - Egyptians killed Roi Rotenberg, 21 years of age, from Nahal Oz.
  • Apr 22, 1958 - Jordanian soldiers shot and killed two fishermen near Aqaba.
  • May 26, 1958 - Four Israeli police officers were killed in a Jordanian attack on Mt. Scopus, in Jerusalem.
  • May 31, 1965 - Jordanian Legionnaires fired on the neighborhood of Musrara in Jerusalem, killing two civilians and wounding four

Are we now supposed to say oh look the Jordanian Army and Egyptian army are terrorist organisations? If so then the IDF for the Qibya massacre becomes a terrorist force..... Ashley kennedy3 (talk) 11:38, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

At a minimum, all listed terrorist acts should have a reliable source, or elsewise the page should be scrapped.Nishidani (talk) 11:47, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I can start sourcing later, Arab massacres against Jews never fade away, because Jews love keeping records.--Saxophonemn (talk) 06:12, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article is biased. It claims that the feyadeen became actively supported by Egypt MAINLY after the Israeli raid. The article doesn't mention active support, weapons and training given to the feyadeen by the Arab Governments with the result of many Israeli civilians being murdered. The article falseluy claims that the Israeli Defence Forces purposely targeted "citizens" of those Arab countries on purpose in retailiation to the feyadeen. In reality however the Israeli Defence Forces raided the Feyadeen outposts and the Government Military and Police involved with giving active support to the feyadeen. The article should stress that the Feyadeen was a tool that the Arab Governments used to attack Israel without declaring war. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.78.176.209 (talk) 15:36, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article should be deleted

[edit]

It is of extremely limited interest - 14 viewers in January 2009 - and seems to have no reason to exist. Why does it stop in 1967? In addition it is not neutral, with repeated use of terrorist, and I am unsure how "Druze Guards" qualify as civilians. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.96.148.42 (talk) 02:31, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to add incidents after 1967. NoCal100 (talk) 02:55, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This Article is important

[edit]

This article come to list terror attacks on Israel till 1967 which is important turn in Israeli Arab conflict. Its important to note that Arab terror begin long ago before Israel took control the west bank and Gaza in 1967. So this list is very important to clear ignorance such as yours.

This list is even longer cause there are many cases deflected by the IDF which never been recorded.
