Commentary on Michaud's loss in gubernatorial election

[edit]

I removed the commentary on Michaud's loss to LePage. Most of the sources, which are supposed to support the claim that Eliot Cutler cost Michaud the election, were written before the election even occurred. The other was from an interview of Michaud post-election, which can hardly be considered an independent reliable source. I believe it is preferable and most fair to remove the speculation entirely, rather than adding bias.--TM 16:55, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You were both edit warring there, and should've known to come to the talk page sooner. I almost stepped in sooner. I'm wondering why this info is in the lead but not in the body. I further think the information is perfectly valid. It's clear that Cutler played some role. After all, LePage won with less than 50% of the vote. Angus King's endorsement switch was noteworthy. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:09, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I would add that phrasing Cutler as "left wing" is dubious at best; the Democrats certainly did not consider him "left wing". That leaves aside the fact such a view is an opinion. 331dot (talk) 21:04, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Potential future disambig

[edit]

If we ever have an article for the writer Michael Gregg Michaud we should look at either making Michael Michaud into a disambig page, or at least having a hatnote on this page. KConWiki (talk) 13:49, 3 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
