  • ... that Mirror, a Hong Kong Cantopop music group, held its first concert less than two months after its debut?

    Source:

    • 陳栢宇 (3 November 2018). "【全民造星】男團MIRROR九展騷紅館價? 花姐:啲飛賣晒都會蝕!" [[King Maker] Boy band MIRROR's show at Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre with Hong Kong Coliseum's price Ahfa: It will be a loss even if the tickets are sold out!] (in Chinese (Hong Kong)). HK01.

The article notes that "ViuTV今日(3日)在鑽石山舉行發布會,宣佈男子組合MIRROR正式誕生...". Translation: "ViuTV organizes a press conference today (date 3 [November]) in Diamond Hill, announcing the official debut of boy group MIRROR."

The article then notes that "MIRROR首個演唱會《2018 THE FIRST MIRROR LIVE CONCERT》將於12月21日和九展舉行". Translation: "MIRROR first concert 2018 THE FIRST MIRROR LIVE CONCERT will be held on 21 December at Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre."

    • ALT1:... that Keung To, a member of Mirror, became the youngest person to receive the "My Favourite Male Singer Award" at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation at the age of 21? Source: "The 21-year-old is the youngest person to win the 'Favourite Male Singer' and 'Favourite Song' awards at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation" [1]
  • Comment: The alt is one of the two only English sources I could find related so I think it might be worth appearing in DYK.

    • ALT2:... that Mirror, a Hong Kong Cantopop music group which does not want to go for a "K-pop feel", performed Korean pop songs at their concert?

      Source:

      • 趙允琳 (22 December 2018). "MIRROR演唱會拒走韓風? Anson Lo:花姐approve就一定唔「韓」" [Mirror's concert refuses to go Korean trends? Anson Lo: Ahfa has approved so it must not be "Korean".] (in Chinese (Hong Kong)). HK01.

The article notes that "除了姜濤帶來韓文歌《Love Song》外,他和Anson Lo表演的韓文歌《Trouble Maker》...花姐之前在節目裏曾公開批評不希望有「韓風」的感覺". Translation: "Besides Keung To performing Korean song Love Song, he and Anson Lo also performed Korean song Trouble Maker... Ahfa[, the manager of the group,] previously criticized publicly in a TV show that she doesn't want to go for a 'K-pop feel'."

  • Added another alt hook since it might somewhat be interesting. Sun8908Talk 09:10, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • ALT3:... that a Hong Kong music group Mirror is considered to be the new generation of Cantopop after Eason Chan?

      Source:

      • "The recent debate over the emergence of pop star Keung To is the first time in years Canto-pop has been talked about." "...Eason Chan, the last king of Canto-pop who reached the peak of his career in the 2000s, are already history" [2] (archived)
      • "Many of them are saying that the 12-member boy band is changing Canto-pop." [3]
  • Adding another hook since other editors added the sources in the article and more sources came out after/during the concert of the group held last week. The aforementioned "only English sources" is no longer the point. Sun8908Talk 16:44, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
  • Cited: Yes - Offline/paywalled citation accepted in good faith
  • Interesting: Yes
QPQ: None required.
Overall: ALT2 is approved. (ALT0 and ALT3 are not in the article's text, ALT1 lists an award that doesn't have an article, so it might not be notable.) Earwig found a possible copyright violation with DimSumDaily [4] but DSD posted their work after this article already had the text, so I think DSD copied from Wikipedia. No QPQ required because it's the nominator's first DYK. Z1720 (talk) 00:15, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Discography[edit]

Suggestion: remove all solo work in the the Discography section as many members of the group have their individual wikipedia page where such information is detailed. The discography section should only include musical works credited to Mirror as a group. I suggest adding a section titled Solo Endeavours to detail members' solo careers. Spacemaker23 02:21, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think to remove the solo work is something that will be done in the near future. As the one who added the section, I think it is about time to remove it. A majority of members who have a solo or duo single have their own articles. Now only Lokman doesn't own one among those from that list. I think he should be notable enough. Sun8908Talk 09:21, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If no one opposes, I will remove the section in a few days ... perhaps adding a hatnote at the time. Sun8908Talk 10:27, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Removed. Sun8908Talk 10:29, 8 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Fallen TV incident[edit]

Hi, I’m a nobody,

I was just wondering if there were any moderators planning to add above incident within the article. I had other thoughts because the situation is continuously developing, hence it’s too early to make any additions.

Thoughts and advise appreciated, thanks. 2603:800C:643:1400:9CAF:FF89:5572:C5BD (talk) 09:28, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

We have already added material about the incident (see this revision, and this section, and a redirect that I created). Wikipedia is a large encyclopedia (~100,000 editors), so someone will update it with more facts as news coverage of the incident is updated. Even better, you should create an account here if you wish, if you'd like to further contribute to Wikipedia. Creating an account however isn't mandatory but is recommended.
Oh, and people here who edit articles are called editors, not moderators. We do have administrators here. Thanks for reminding us anyway! A diehard editor (talk | edits) 16:29, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
