  • Add WP:ALT text to every image.
  • #Filmography is unsourced.
  • "By mid-1980s" → "By the mid-1980s"
  • "from Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit in 2010 and from University" → "from Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit in 2010 and the University"
  • "which was started with the objective of creating and delivering high impact" → "that was started to create and deliver high-impact"
  • Add a hyphen between "longest running".
  • "in Fazil directed cult classic" → "in the Fazil-directed cult classic"
  • Add hyphens between "well received", "well tempered", and "well crafted".
  • "the corruption in India" → "corruption in India"
  • Add a hyphen between "Priyadarshan directed".
  • "would not allow to take back" → "would not allow them to take back"
  • "He still continues" → "He continues"
  • "accused in the media for" → "accused in the media of"
  • Add "the" before "Association of Malayalam Movie Artists".
  • "specially" – typo?
  • "own houses" → "owns houses"
  • "for the films in which he has acted in" → "for the films in which he has acted"
  • "on Asianet, the second" → "on Asianet, the second"
  • Add hyphens between "fourth highest" and "third highest".
  • Add "the" before "University of Calicut".
  • Mark references from The Hindu with "|url-access=subscription".
  • Ping when done. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 23:19, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Some Dude From North Carolina, I think I've done everything as you mentioned above except #Filmography. But that section leads to two other main article. Have a look at those. --Shaji issac (talk) 11:52, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Drippingly positive commentary, again

[edit]

@QuicklyBookaBuick: I've reverted your changes again. Referring to him as one of the "evergreen heroes", "matinee idol", "most admired", etc. is way, way, way over the top non-neutral commentary. I know you're new here, and that's ok, but you need to take the time to read WP:NEUTRAL and understand that we write here in a neutral, encyclopedic tone. We are not a fan site. We are not Mohanlal's website either. It is quite enough to note the many awards he has received. That some press has referred to him as <insert over-the-top superlative> does not mean he holds that status. There is no such status. You can not go to an awards ceremony and receive an award for being an evergreen hero. This sort of discourse is wholly unnecessary and pollutes the article. See also Talk:Mohanlal/Archive_1#Removal_of_sourced_positives_by_Ambeinghari and Talk:Mohanlal/Archive_1#Lede_text:_"one_of_the_greatest_actors...". We've been through this before. Please stop. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 02:16, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

    • Agreed. It isn't an award or Government honour that is being held. Let us not use the word 'status' then. Instead let us say that he is considered a 'matinee idol' among Malayalis. There are other articles includiing Rajkumar where the term tagged to him is being referred to as a 'status'.49.207.221.103 (talk) 16:21, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
      • Malayalis are not a monolithic entity. It isn't accurate to say he is a matinee idol among any group other than the press outlets who claim him to be. The term simply isn't useful for the article, most especially in the lede. If acting in 340 films, getting a Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, plus getting an honorary colonelhood isn't enough to convey to people that Mohanlal is an exceptional person, burdening the article with non-neutral, gushingly, breathlessly positive commentary about how great he is will not help. WP:NEUTRAL stands. --Hammersoft (talk) 18:03, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Better Source Needed

[edit]

"Mohanlal has a prolific career spanning over four decades, during which he has acted in more than 400 films" for this sentence in the article it shows it needed better source. Could anyone add any reliable source or please delete the current source. This article is a GA and need to be more careful in this and need to update.Paavamjinn (talk) 19:23, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Article still has numerous "citation needed" tags in the "2016-present" sub-section of the "Film career" section that are still valid. NoobThreePointOh (talk) 01:54, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Why? Do you have an alternative that is free licensed? --Hammersoft (talk) 17:15, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No bro , but as a avid fan of Mohanlal, I wanted some one to change his photograph. The picture is 9 years old too... ASR.killadi.da (talk) 05:27, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can review Commons:Category:Mohanlal for potential replacements. In my opinion, none of the photos there are of better quality than what is being used now. If you're aware of a free license image not currently on Commons, could you point to it? --Hammersoft (talk) 11:42, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
