Reference used for Musa abandoning Islam is considered an opinion piece

[edit]

This assertion, which appear to have been first added to the article in revision 1080734280(03:37, 3 April 2022) and was afterwards added to more places in the article, is sourced from a single reference: [1]

This is a problem because, while The Atlantic is listed as a reliable source in the Reliable/Perinnial sources list, it also has this note:
"opinion pieces, including all articles in the "Ideas" column (theatlantic.com/ideas/), are governed by WP:RSOPINION"

This appears to mean that this link cannot be used as a reference to ascertain that he did indeed leave Islam and become an atheist, because it's considered an opinion piece. And so, there are now two questions:
1. Is there another source that isn't an opinion piece that can be used in place of this one?
2. If there isn't, should it all be removed or is there a way to rephrase the article to account for the fact that the only source is an opinion piece?

@2804:F14:C060:8A01:39ED:2019:D269:496A theres no evidence, the source is from the Hindustan Times and they themselves made it up. 174.240.251.118 (talk) 03:30, 25 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 2 December 2022

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: no consensus. Unable to determine from the discussion the consensus to move. However acknowledging that there is a change in preference how the subject is referring to himself, this topic can be revisited when there are more sources in the future reflecting his new old identity.
