Hello! Just brushed up the english a little here and there, also added in a bit about the origins of their name. I'm not sure how reliable the info is so if anyone has better source material or feel it does not fit in the article, feel free to take it out. Cheers. - Py —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.235.181.146 (talk) 23:31, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies if I'm not using this correctly, I hope I am, but I would like to bring up the point that there is a general assumption that Jack Conte from Pomplamoose first started with the "VideoSong" medium, when in fact videos can be found dating as far back as 2006( www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsavk0FX3Ro&fmt=18 ) showing the same principles applied, years before Pomplamoose or Conte's contribution to the medium.

Firstly, they made the genre of videosong popular because they do it so well. Secondly, nobody ever said Jack Conte, Nataly Dawn, and Pomplamoose invented this genre. So whatever you are trying to prove or disprove is not exactly working. Mr. C.C. (talk) 11:22, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

I'm removing the "notability" tag placed on this article moments ago. The following sources show significant coverage in my opinion: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]. If anyone disagrees, feel free to take it to WP:AFD - (I noticed an IP placed the notability tag, if you want, I will create the AFD page). Jujutacular T · C 15:43, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind. A. Boisvert (talk) 15:47, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Tamil word 'pampa limasu' has a typo in the Tamil script, which reads 'pampa ramasu' instead of 'pampa limasu.' I don't know how to edit the Tamil script, so please make this change. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.98.203.15 (talk) 01:57, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nataly's last name is Knutsen

[edit]

It's silly to pull out WP:VERIFY on someone's last name. Are we supposed to footnote the single most basic fact about a person? For the record, some sources:

· rodii · 02:06, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I was was only aware of the name she performs under, so it wasn't silly to me. Thanks for the links. Regards, Jujutacular talk 02:19, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for fixing the spelling! · rodii · 19:24, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you see in the edit history, someone removed her real name because they think they are "protecting her identity..." I will add it back, it can't be undone. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 01:57, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me guys, but WP:BLP applies. Maybe this is WP:TRUE but not WP:V so I am going to remove the name. The sources provided are not WP:RS. AgadaUrbanit (talk) 05:05, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've put it back and I've been looking for sources to add. Check the following sources [6], and [7]. It might not be much, but it's a lot better than all the other crap that is out there. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 22:49, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Natalie's association to Christian missionaries

[edit]

I removed this un-sited sentence.

"Natalie Knutsen is the daughter of evangelical Christian missionaries who were in France and Belgium. They founded EuroBoost in 2005 as a way to accelerate church planting in European countries."

A search for "natalie dawn knutsen" returns a page that refers to "Jim, Dawn and Natalie Knutsen" who are missionaries. Corrino2000 (talk) 23:22, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Official Homepage down

[edit]

I removed the official Homepage link, because it's down since a half year. 81.62.83.145 (talk) 09:27, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Their website has never been down. So I don't know what you are talking about. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 01:37, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have added it back, I likewise have never seen it down. I wonder if this has something to do with it not being available in Europe or something? (IP is from Switzerland). Jujutacular talk 01:44, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New Article On Pomplamoose

[edit]

Here is a new article on Pomplamoose which can be looked through to reference the article as well as to add information. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 03:05, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Discogs

[edit]

Does anyone else think this page would much more organized looking if the discographies were put into collapsed boxes? The amount of whitespace on the page is quite cumbersome. Jujutacular talk 01:27, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In the song "Je Me Suis Fait Tous Petit" there is a link (featuring John Schroeder) Who apears to be dead in 2017, i Think is not the wright person and the link should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.157.206.121 (talk) 14:50, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Elementing?

[edit]

What does that even mean? Like this band isn't nauseatingly hipster enough? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.143.101.14 (talk) 18:38, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Formatting.

[edit]

Exactly what is going on with this article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.43.10.210 (talk) 18:21, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What are you referring to? --Fru1tbat (talk) 13:21, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with Nataly Dawn

[edit]

No indication of genuine notability of individual artist, may be notable as member of band but not alone. Ifnord (talk) 05:47, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Knower should not redirect here

[edit]

I was searching to see if Knower the band was on wikipedia, and saw that it redirects to pomplamoose. They collaborated on one song, but Knower is its own band with members Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi. I don't know how to remove this redirect. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 155.188.247.24 (talk) 13:14, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed the redirect to link to its original target (Knowledge). This seems better anyway, as the redirect appears to be listed in an index of Philosophy articles. Apparently it was reinterpreted as the band when a link was created from a soundtrack listing (I've fixed that as well). The band article, if it existed, probably should be located at Knower (band) anyway. --Fru1tbat (talk) 14:54, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I went on ahead and made a Knower article here. I decided to both keep the redirect and name and maybe we can discuss what should be done as far as sorting later. I don't think people usually use Knower referencing Knowledge, rather it's just a random name they chose. But I kept the reference there just in case. Boaxy (talk) 00:17, 19 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That works fine for me. Hatnote is clear, and redirect to Pomplamoose is resolved. Thanks! --Fru1tbat (talk) 12:10, 19 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

lede paragraph

[edit]

I understand the intention, but I think the use of the phrase "novelty covers" is misleading. Pomplamoose's music is certainly idiosyncratic, but I feel that "novelty" suggests that they're going for laughs.PurpleChez (talk) 14:15, 3 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A missing source

[edit]

The source of the sentence "On November 8, 2013, Pomplamoose performed at "Lens", Mateo Messina's 16th annual benefit concert at Seattle's Benaroya Hall for Seattle Children's Hospital." is't appearance what it need to appear. ס.ג'יבלי (talk) 08:45, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
