Year of birth

[edit]

Ri also has articles at Korean & Chinese Wikipedias (ko:리용호 (정치인); zh:李容浩); I added the links just now over at Wikidata). A source cited there, from the Ministry of Unification [1], lists his year of birth as 1956. 210.6.254.106 (talk) 06:41, 22 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I've corrected the year. Some other sources only give his age as either 59 or 60, or birth year as 1954 (which is inconsistent). The Ministry of Unification info seems like the most reliable here. Thanks for the Wikidata too. – Finnusertop (talkcontribs) 21:58, 23 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Revised Romanization

[edit]

Based on my limited knowledge of Korean and the following Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_(Korean_surname) I think that the "Revised Romanization" of the family name in the Infobox should be "Ri", not "I". I also had a similar question in the following page:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Down-with-Imperialism_Union
The founder's name was mentioned in the latter half of the article using the South Korean romanization method. I updated it to the North Korean version which you have used, I assume that's best practice. IRT787 (talk) 20:50, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ri Yong-ho (politician)Ri Yong-ho (foreign minister) – The subject of the current base title is also, by definition, a politician because he has been elected to a political body. Also, I am not convinced that the current base title is the primary topic, if there is one because while the soldier recieved the most coverage up until 2012, the foriegn minister is currently the one gaining the most media coverage recently, hence the base title is best suited to be a disambiguation. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 04:02, 29 June 2018 (UTC)--Relisting.
