I removed this as I fail to see how one can be "Muslim" simply by virtue of parentage. Last time I checked, Muslim meant a follower of Islam. It is a statement of faith, not an ethnic inheritance. Saying "She is Muslim from her father's side" isn't factually accurate. Unless it is verifiable that she is a practising Muslim (or any other religion for that matter) or was raised as a muslim, that should be left out of article. Even if it can be sourced, it would more accurately be written that she is a practising Muslim (with a cite). Given that she apparently just met her birth father recently, I have a hard time believing she was raised in the faith.--Isotope23talk18:01, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You have an extreme view on determining who is Muslim and who isn't. According to Islam's teachings, every human is first born as Muslim. What do you say to that? Why you talk about ethnic when we are talking about Muslim or Islam? It sounds like you're the confused one. If her father is Muslim then she was born to a Muslim father, there is no reasons to conceal this.--Khan198211:11, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If it can be reliably sourced that her father is Muslim, it would be perfectly acceptable to say that "her father is Muslim" in the article.... and while I'm aware of Islam's teachings, it still would not be factually accurate to state that she is "Muslim from her father's side" as a statement of religiosity or ethnic identity if she was not actually raised in the faith. I'm not trying to conceal anything; I'm simply insisting on sources and accurate statements.--Isotope23talk14:42, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Can anyone find a decent source for her middle name, Ocelean? Usually this information is widely reported, but I can't seem to find many sources that include her middle name. Nothing from the likes of The New York Times, People, MTV, sources that would usually have this kind of information. A couple of questionable sources on Google Books. Biography.com has her full name as Rozonda Ocelean Thomas. Is it safe to say this information is inaccurate? She doesn't have a middle name? Melonkelon (talk) 00:58, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm a bit confused. Is there an issue with Biography.com? It's the website for what was formerly The Biography Channel, which would seem to make it a reliable source. --Tenebrae (talk) 01:07, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No. I should've been clearer, as I was in fact using Biography.com as an example of a reliable source that has her full name listed. I'm just looking for more sources that report her middle name as Ocelean, as I can't find very many. Melonkelon (talk) 02:31, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have restored a significant amount of content that was excised by a now-blocked undisclosed paid editor, who claims to represent the subject (see edit summary here).
I will remind editors who represent the subject that they are required to disclose this properly per WP:PAID. Also, they must realize that the article subject has no exclusive right of ownership or control over the content. Content disputes should be addressed through the steps outlined in WP:AUTOPROB. --Drm310🍁 (talk) 04:13, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
