The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: Not moved. Per WP:NAMECHANGES and WP:COMMONNAME, most readers will not know this company as She Media yet, as only 1 independent source and themselves have actually reported on this change. Give it a few months, when more independent and reliable sources cover the name change / use the new name. When the Requested move discussion is reopened, please provide these sources. Oppose - create a redirect, yes, by all means, but it's too early to move the article. The company has a history of more than a decade and changed its name yesterday. The vast majority of reliable sources - in fact, all of them - refer to it by the long-established name. AZ Big Media is not a reliable source. (In fact, they didn't even bother to note that they edited that piece after publication, as any reputable source would do.) Huon (talk) 12:11, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Support, are there hard and fast rules about when a company can change its name? The company name has officially changed, so anything on Wikipedia referring to SheKnows Media is inaccurate. AZ Big Media is a third-party publication, SheKnows Media by no means paid for the article, and the article was not written by a contributor. Comment I wasn't disputing AZ Big Media's independence (though I would be surprised if they weren't contacted by SHE Media, given that the name change was announced only yesterday), but their reliability. If we took that page at face value, the name would already have been "SHE Media" on November 10. We know that's false. Regarding the "support" - can you explain how switching to the the new name at this point agrees with the relevant guidelines such as WP:NAMECHANGES? Huon (talk) 19:28, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
For what it's worth, here is WWD as of yesterday, referring to "the acquisition of SheKnows Media" without any comment on the name change. That's the newest reliable source I could find. Huon (talk) 19:32, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose for now the relevant policy is WP:NAMECHANGES. Please provide links of WP:RS showing consistent usage of "She Media" (or variants of it). AZ Big Media doesn't seem like a reliable source at all while WWD's lack of mention of the new name is convincing. Can be moved in the future if/when sources start using "She Media" consistently. feminist (talk) 07:03, 21 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
