Powers

[edit]

I have re-written the section on Sabra's powers to bring it in line with her entry in All-New Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe #9 (September 2006). -- Pennyforth 22:48, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong first appearance, I think

[edit]

I'm not sure that the first appearance on here is right (Hulk 250). I think Sabra first appeared in CONTEST OF CHAMPIONS, which is where Marvel introduced a lot of their "nationality" heroes. The Arabian Knight was also introduced during the Contest.

Actually, Hulk 250 has a cover date of August 1980, and Contest of Champions has June 1982, so Hulk is first. Majoria 17:08, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Sabra 001.jpg

[edit]

Image:Sabra 001.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

A Suggestion

[edit]

In the X-Men storyline, where Magneto is planning to have an (undamaged and healthy) Genosha go to war with the world, Sabra is interviewed. If someone can dig up the issue and info, I think it should be added. Lots42 (talk) 12:39, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ultimate Sabra

[edit]

Seen her in Ultimate Comics: Armor Wars #2 in the "dead ahent gallery" on the wall of this faustus guy Stark and the gal were visiting. Could somebody with better english then me add this not-so-nice fact (the sole appearance in a comic as a corpse isn't that cool), please? --Baruch ben Alexander - ☠☢☣ 19:23, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sabra currently in news for controversy over her expected upcoming Captain America movie appearance

[edit]

This current controversy over Sabra should be included in this to article. see this article for more info on controversy: https://forward.com/culture/film-tv/517550/sabra-marvel-mcu-shira-haas-israeli-superhero-jewish-controversy/ Notcharliechaplin (talk) 06:25, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Fake controversy based on lie about the name

[edit]

It might be wise to lock down this page from malicious edits. There are a bunch of antisemitic persons falsely claiming that "Sabra" - a longstanding term for Israeli Jews - refers to a particular event when it does not and in fact predates said event by decades:

Jerusalem, Israel

[edit]

The article states she was born in "Jerusalem, Israel." The article for Jerusalem notes that neither the Israeli or Palestinian claim to the city is widely recognized internationally. Should Sabra's article be edited to simply state she was born in Jerusalem to match the article on Jerusalem? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 136.56.112.10 (talk) 20:10, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Film citations

Since these are constantly being removed from the article, I am posting them here in case anyone finds them useful.

Article doesn't seem very neutral

[edit]

Article seems heavily biased with almost all negative reception regulated to a small paragraph purely from the perspective of Arab press. The article also seems to present poorly researched pop-culture articles that don't even reference the fact that Sabra was invented to be the villain of the story they're praising her over. One of the sourced quoted even calls her "most prominent international hero..." which is so untrue I don't even know why Wikipedia is presenting it. Alpha Flight, Storm and Black Panther are more prominent by orders of magnitude more prominent than Sabra, and countless others are just as or more prominent.--66.110.244.32 (talk) 21:30, 11 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
