Grammar/English

[edit]

I'm slowly working through the text, lots of grammatical errors. It feels like a lot of it was literally translated from BM and a lot of redundant words. Ex-journo here so just chipping in. Regards, Royce81 (talk) 08:00, 29 January 2015 (UTC)royce81[reply]

I have made several edits so that the article confirms Wikipedia's policy with surnames, referring to the subject as Amzah instead of Shila. Many famous people are known by their first name but that is not a reason to ignore wiki's policy and call the subject by her first name unless there is a specific reason (royalty, pseudonym etc)⊾maine12329⊿ talk 12:38, 19 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

User:Maine12329: Problem is Amzah is a patronymic name, and she had used the mononym "Shila" at one point in her career. Timmyshin (talk) 13:14, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Image of her not wearing a hijab

[edit]

User:Aiman851 please read WP:NOTCENSORED: "Wikipedia may contain content that some readers consider objectionable or offensive—even exceedingly so. Attempting to ensure that articles and images will be acceptable to all readers, or will adhere to general social or religious norms, is incompatible with the purposes of an encyclopedia." I understand you don't like the image, but WP:IDONTLIKEIT isn't reason to remove a valid image. Just for the record, I also think she looks more gorgeous in hijab, but without it the article lacks a photo. Also pinging User:Hullaballoo Wolfowitz. Timmyshin (talk) 12:32, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'll review this.

  • There is some insufficient paraphrasing; see this comparison.
  • I see the article had copyright violations in the past; I'll do some additional checking, but can I first confirm that you're aware of the issues and understand that you can't use text from outside sources in this article without paraphrasing?
  • There's a good deal of uncited material in the article; please add citations.

I'm going to pause the review here to allow these problems to be addressed; I'll continue the review once everything is cited and the paraphrasing is taken care of. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 18:42, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Aiman851, are you planning to work on this? I will fail this in a week if there is no response. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 12:01, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
