Stacey bendet → Stacey Bendet – This article subject was apparently created repeatedly in the past, but did not present a claim of notability, resulting in its repeated deletion per CSD A7. Thus, the capitalized article name is currently protected (or I would have moved it myself). This time, however, the article very clearly presents its notability and should be a perfectly good article to keep. SilverserenC 04:01, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it very, very clearly indicates the importance of the subject. There are extensive, full sources covering the subject and she is a world famous designer with a very successful fashion line. This CSD nomination is absurd. - Picking the article apart...
- Stacey Bendet Eisner is the designer for the Alice + Olivia women's and kids collections, in addition to a shoe collection for Payless ShoeSource.
- She's a designer, nothing notable there, and notability is not inherited from either Alice + Olivia or Payless ShoeSource
- She has been on the Vanity Fair Best Dressed list for two years in a row.
- I don't think being listed in 25th place has ever been an assertion of notability?
- On June 1, 2008 she was married to Eric Eisner, the couple wed in a quiet ceremony on the Caribbean island of Anguilla without their family or friends. The couple were married in an intimate ceremony on the beach by a local rabbi. The couple had their first child, Eloise Breckenridge Eisner, on November 24, 2008. Eloise was named after the character the children’s book character who grew up in the Plaza hotel who reminded Eisner of Bendet. On April 8, 2011 the couple welcomed their second daughter, Scarlet Haven Eisner, via C-section in New York City.
- She doesn't inherit notability through her marriage (not that Eisner's article is even linked), and being one among a billion or so mothers of two kids also is no assertion of notability. The final sentence looks like a copyvio.
- Bendet has also stated she practices Ashtanga yoga everyday.
- My mother does yoga. Does she merit an article?
- If you prefer, it could be listed as A10 since it adds nothing (except the yoga) to the text already in the Alice + Olivia or Eric Eisner articles? Bazj (talk) 12:31, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- Your first comment is ridiculous. That's like saying a famous author isn't notable because they don't inherit notability from their books. She created the Alice + Olivia line, which is famous, so she is famous for having created it. SilverserenC 19:56, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
