Categorization

[edit]

Do you have any authority for the idea that categories like Ashkenazi Jews, Sefardi Jews, and Mizrahi Jews only apply to people born outside Israel? PatGallacher 14:20, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No. It applies to Jews no matter where they are born. A Jew born in the United Stated to Sephardi parents is considered Sephardi, etc Bstone 11:58, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"terrorist" description

[edit]

The description of Zakaria Zubeidi as a "terrorist" may be based on US state department sources, but it is still POV, we are not obliged to treat everything this source says as Gospel, it would make Wikipedia very americo-centric if we did. PatGallacher 20:51, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade is also recognized as a terrorist organization by the EU, and Canada. --PiMaster3 talk 23:05, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I object to deleting well-known facts about Tali Fahima

[edit]

OK. I know. now you will kick me out forever from English Wikipedia, just because I'm writing you this. But I added some well-known facts about Tali Fahima, and they were completely removed. These facts have been published all over the media in Israel (mostly in Hebrew), including her official website. It is written there that Tali Fahima was in administrative detention and isolation. She was convicted of translating a top secret document to the "enemy" and this is written in the Hebrew version of Tali Fahima on Wikipedia. Also this and the fact that she doesn't know Arabic is well known, for example NRG and there are many sources but mostly in Hebrew. Her lawyer said that she doesn't know Arabic and Tali Fahima said it herself. Zakaria Zubeidi knows Hebrew and that's also written on the about page (NRG). I accuse the person who deleted everything I added to Tali Fahima as not being objective. I know much more about Tali Fahima than he does, I read about her a lot, I doubt how much he read about her and specifically in Hebrew.

By the way, for more than six months nobody wrote anything on Talk:Tali Fahima. I doubt how much this person is interested in Tali Fahima, I think his motivation of reverting what I wrote is impure.

Condolence visit

[edit]

I've found an online English-language citation for the Haaretz article covering Tali Fahima's condolence visit to the family of the shooter in the Mercaz HaRav massacre. I don't find this incident or its reportage to be at a level of significance for adding to the mainspace page even as an External link. Rather, I consider it sufficient to add the link here for those who want to read about it. -- Deborahjay (talk) 17:55, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A better image

[edit]

Does anyone have access to a better image of Fahima. The current image of a sticker is quite unclear.IrishStephen (talk) 18:37, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
