Narutolovehinata5, I'm getting ready to get into the car and make an 8-hour drive, so I probably won't have a chunk of time today. Tomorrow I was planning to fill a set, if needed, but if it's not I could do a review then if no one else picks it up. --valereee (talk) 10:23, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Killiondude: Firstly, this is not my nomination (my only edit here was to ping the nominator), and secondly it wasn't me who deleted the previous comments here, it was Alessandro57. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 20:26, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hah. I should pay more attention. Alessandro57: see above. Killiondude (talk) 20:28, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

[edit]

@Alessandro57: As discussed on my talk page, I haven't looked at the sources and am assuming that you are confident about them, but I've been through the article and addressed a few issues with the language - rephrasing a few sentences, removing some extra spaces, and I've also been through and called him Carlak throughout. We should be consistent in what we call him within the article - if most of the sources use Bedevi then feel free to switch it, so long as we're using either one or the other and not swapping between them. A few other points jumped out at me, but I wasn't sure how to address them:

  • Birthplace - the lead says it's Samarra, and the first part of the Biography section says it's either Samarra or Baghdad, but the cited source following that sentence just says Baghdad, it doesn't mention Samarra. I haven't changed this sentence, but I think it needs tidying up - either we need to just say Baghdad, or we need another source to be used there mentioning Samarra.
  • Dede Niyazi's place - this is mentioned as where he stayed when he visited the city, but it will need some explaining - the reader won't know who Dede Niyazi is, or whether this is referring to a private house, or perhaps a hotel since it mentions a reference. If you're not sure, I'd suggest just removing this bit.
  • The final ref - Margaret Herrick Library, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. - isn't clear to me. Is it a book?

All in all an informative article about an interesting guy! Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 12:07, 19 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
