Typhoon Molave (2020) → Typhoon Molave – Clear WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, other Molaves all caused minimal damage and a only few deaths. This caused >$645 million and >70 deaths. ~ Destroyeraa🌀 15:43, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose honestly removing years from event article titles does not benefit readers. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:01, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
- Forcing readers to view a dab page in lieu of the article they're seeking doesn't either. -- Calidum 16:24, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
- @In ictu oculi: No, there are many TC articles (such as Hurricane Gert) that have names removed because of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, but were not retired. ~ Destroyeraa🌀 16:32, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- Calidum "Forcing readers to view a dab page in lieu of the article they're seeking doesn't either." What kind of search do you imagine is going to force someone looking for Typhoon Molave (2020) to ignore Typhoon Molave (2020) and head for a dab page? How do you search for articles? - Oppose This was my kinds of rationales back in the day when I requested moves. SMB99thx my edits 10:21, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

- What? -- Calidum 16:24, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose for now Unless Molave gets retired, the year should be retained. Vida0007 (talk) 11:07, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
- Support. Unlike Typhoon Goni, where there are two equally powerful storms, this is the clear primary topic. The other Molaves are so minor they don't even have articles. -- Calidum 16:24, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose for now I agree with Vida0007 Cyclonetracker (talk) 00:36, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- Support I would agree with the other editors, though I do also agree with Calidum; this is the clear primary topic as the other Storms named Molave do not even have articles, and this one is very deadly and damaging. I like hurricanes 03:13, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose for now I agree with Vida0007. Its the same issue as Typhoon Goni (2020).ChessEric (talk · contribs) 19:30, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose. Along with the reasons given above, another point which is worth noting is, that if if this moves away from a dab page, then incorrect links will not get reported and readers using those links will get directed to the wrong articles. --Gonnym (talk) 10:52, 14 November 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose - Wait if it gets retired, although this might share the same fate with Goni 2015, which also caused significant damage and deaths but the name didn't get retired, thus retaining the year. - Darwgon0801 (talk) 09:47, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

Typhoon Molave (2020) → Typhoon Molave – We have learned over the past two months that the scale of damage inflicted by Typhoon Molave was much higher than anticipated. 660 million USD of damage in total (tens upon trillions of dong lost in Vietnam) and not to mention 71 dead and nearly another 50 missing due to this typhoon. The name Molave has also only been used twice, and both previous Molave-s did not even do enough damage to warrant their own articles. This seems like a clear move to me, but I might as well gain consensus since last move request was oddly unsuccessful. Also not sure if this relevant, but the PH name (Quinta) for Molave was also retired.Hurricaneboy23 (page) * (talk) 17:26, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
- Support we did it for Typhoon Vamco. Quinta is already retired by PAGASA. ~ Destroyer🌀🌀 15:18, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
- Support Unlike Typhoon Vamco. we need to renamed and moved to Typhoon Molave. HurricaneEdgar talk 01:09 9 December 2020 (UTC)
- Support support for reasons I supported in the last move discussion. Cyclone Toby 01:12, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
I will probably move this article soon due to WP:SNOW and because the prime reason it wasn't moved was because it wasn't retired... and it is now so Hurricaneboy23 (page) * (talk) 16:27, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
- S-u-p-p-o-r-t (with of course, Quinta being moved as well). It was retired, and I can't see Molave not being retired. With 71 deaths(possibly as high as 117), and $660 million, I can't see this not being retired(but then again, Typhoon Nina wasn't retired and did twice the damage, and also killed 229,000). --Hurricane Tracker 495 17:06, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
