[edit]Two HTML comments I found at the top of the article:
- Biographies need to moved elsewhere. This is an article on the Herders influence on the publishing company only. All other facts are irrelevant to this article.
- Probably should be moved to Herder & Herder.
I think the comment about the biographies being developed separately is very relevant. 1913 Catholic Encyclopedia decided to glom it all into an article called "Herder", but I think that is not appropriate for Wikipedia. Bob Burkhardt (talk) 16:27, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
- Well, I moved three bios, the first three, over to their own bio pages.
- 1) I discovered that Wikipedia editor Charles Matthews, a very reputable person, had contructed the original article by merging together several bios! So I quit without merging that last one. We probably need to wait a few days before doing more editing and see what he says when (if?) he notices.
- 2) I can appreciate the problem. The bios are inextricably related to the company. Very hard to pull apart.
- 3) All articles, Verlag, and the three bios, need editing badly. Lots of pov type statements, while technically supported by CE 1913, are still a bit much. Student7 (talk) 01:12, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
