General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.

Overall: @Onegreatjoke: I was the one who reviewed and promoted the article to GA, so I'm definitely willing to take over this nomination, as well! To be honest, everything looks fine, including your QPQ. I just think you could optimize the hook even more by focusing on the comparison between Wembanyama and Lebron, but this is mainly a suggestion, rather than a must. On a side note, was "being described him" a typo? That pronoun looks a bit weirdly-placed to me... Please, let me know what you think about this. Oltrepier (talk) 14:29, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Oltrepier: How about, ALT1: ... that Victor Wembanyama is regarded as one of the greatest NBA prospects of his generation even being described as the most anticipated prospect since LeBron James in 2003? Onegreatjoke (talk) 19:15, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Onegreatjoke: Nice, although I was thinking more about something like this:
ALT2: ... that Victor Wembanyama has been described as the most anticipated NBA prospect since LeBron James in 2003?
[Also, I slightly edited your previous message, so your own proposed hook can be recorded by the bot.] Oltrepier (talk) 19:46, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I forgot to call for help from other reviewers in here... Oltrepier (talk) 10:01, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, Oltrepier, you can't review a DYK nom if you reviewed it for GA status as well. might we get another reviewer in here? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/her) 02:30, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
theleekycauldron Sorry, I genuinely didn't know that... Good thing that I picked the red arrow over the green tick, then! : D Oltrepier (talk) 13:49, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Length Newness Cited hook Interest Sources Neutrality Plagiarism/paraphrase
I see no problems. All cited, earwig only tagged the LeBron quote, length/newness to good article are fine, etc.

Not sure where this would go, but Wembanyama tied Walker Kessler and Brook Lopez for the most blocks in a single quarter (6) on 2/12/2024.[1] Thomasbeem (talk) 08:50, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Thickynugnug (talk) 03:59, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Birth

[edit]

It says he became a naturalized French citizen before was born. It also says he was born in France then later it says he was born in Belgium. Marciano118 (talk) 19:20, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Marciano118 If you read it properly, it's his father who was born in Belgium and then was naturalized afterwards. Dieter Lloyd Wexler 19:51, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

FIBA olympics awards

[edit]

Is it appropriate to update his awards and achievements with the FIBA olympics rising star and 1st team all-olympics awards? Or are those generally not included? I see that LeBron's article has already been updated with the MVP. 2601:282:8903:90E0:B42F:550F:8F81:8A5D (talk) 01:44, 11 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
