The article wanders off on tangents

[edit]

It needs to be edited to tighten it right up to reflect only that which is relevabnt to Ryan. I accepted it at AFC knowing that the community woudl take it ans shake it to make it a tighter article. FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 12:02, 15 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProjects assessments

[edit]

Upon being moved into the Wikipedia main space, articles that have been through the AfC process should probably be assessed for quality and importance. I encountered this article without having that initial quality being assessed. On the basis of its length, structure and organisation, and the number of citations, as well as the need for significant clean-up, this article would appear to be C class at first glance. This is a quick assessment and other editors may consider my assessment too generous. But considering this article has just been promoted from draft, I am giving the authors the benefit of the doubt as an incentive to improve the article. The importance assessment of Low is because this is a biography about a single person. The article is just one instance of many exhibiting similar criminal behaviour. It contributes only a small piece of additional information to the overall subject area. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 22:08, 15 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Cameron Dewe Usually the reviewer assesses them. Regrettably I failed to do so this time - a simple oversight. I agree with your C Class assessment FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 19:13, 17 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Timtrent: No worries. I just thought I needed to explain the basis of my assessment of an article that had just been promoted by someone else via the AfC process. Glad you agree. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 06:23, 18 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

References and citations

[edit]

This article would benefit from using citation templates for the cited sources. There are various tools and templates available. The most convenient I have found are the templates available in the wikitext edit form. Using templates like this would address the issue of link rot, as well as provide more information about the cited works and make it easier to cite the same work on multiple occasions rather than have duplicate citations for the same work. Additionally, more particular citations could identify parts of a work, such as a page, section, chapter or quote, that are most relevant. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 22:08, 15 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
