Is "political strategist" the correct disambiguation?

[edit]

I do not see much evidence that Zhang Bin is a political strategist in the common sense of the word. Better disambiguation titles might be "Zhang Bin (billionaire)" or just "Zhang Bin (businessman)". ScienceMan123 (talk) 13:35, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's a good question. I really struggled to find the right term. It's his political influencing that he seems most notable for. Reliable sources tend to describe him as a billionaire/business person, but discuss his political work more. Most of the political labels I could think up were loaded, not neutral, so I avoided them and this was the best I could come up with that seemed accurate, what reliable sources talk about, and not a work that seemed loaded (like "political operative"). I'm open minded to any improvement, but think (without being certain) that politics is more important than business in his work. CT55555(talk) 13:42, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Good points. In terms of his political participation, I'd say that he is more of a lobbyist than a strategist. Maybe "Zhang Bin (Chinese lobbyist)"? ScienceMan123 (talk) 02:47, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I consider it a possibly factual improvement, but worry about neutrality. Do you think "lobbyist" has a negative implication? And on accuracy, I can SYNTH with high certainty that he makes donations as a means to influence, but with a BLP on a political person, I am trying to be exceptionally cautious. Which is why we have this current awkward disambig.... CT55555(talk) 08:54, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
