The Chennai Silks is chain of retail textile shops in Tamil Nadu.[1][2]

History

Its founder Kulandaivel Mudaliar entered the business in 1962. However its first textile shop was started in Tirupur in 1991 as 'Kumaran silks' with his hard work, later renamed as 'The Chennai Silks' in 2001. They also export clothes for chain stores in America and Europe including Decathlon, Carrefour, TESCO and Hanes.[3]

Showrooms

The group[4] also owns Sree Kumaran Thangamaligai, a retail jewellery shop across the state. The Chennai Silks has its branches in Chennai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Madurai, Tirupur, Karur, Kochi, Tirunelveli, Vellore, Salem, Hosur, Viluppuram, Velachery, and Erode.
