About This User[edit]

Articles Of Interest To Me[edit]

Username Origin[edit]

I got my user name from three words, saiyan from dragonball z which is an anime, and Emperor from the idea of being the best. 2008, the year in which this account was created.

Saiyan+Emperor+2008=SaiyanEmperor2008

Nickname[edit]

My nickname is Shadow warrior in japanese it is Isamukage (勇陰) it literally mean warrior shadow although Isamu is a given first name for boys and Kage is a suffix to it makes sense to say :Isamukage.

Ideology On Vandalism[edit]

Described in one word: stupid.

Why vandalize? What's the point? You already know your IP address is recorded here, and WHOIS "knows where you live". Do you want everyone to know that 123.45.67.890 from Citizensville, England (fake IP address, BTW; don't even think one with that combination is possible) is a real idiot? Get you a billboard and write what you want, not here. (Besides, they get blocked anyway; I don't see the fun in that)

Notable Quotes[edit]

The quotes are arranged in alphabetical order, by the quoter's surname. Anonymous quotes are listed at the bottom of this section.

  • "It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change." - Charles Darwin
  • "If you lose hope, somehow you lose the vitality that keeps life moving, you lose that courage to be, that quality that helps you go on in spite of it all. And so today I still have a dream." - Martin Luther King, Jr.
  • "And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years." - Abraham Lincoln
  • "The dictionary is the only place that success comes before work. Hard work is the price we must pay for success. I think you can accomplish anything if you're willing to pay the price". - Vince Lombardi
  • "From woman, man is born; within woman, man is conceived; to woman he is engaged and married. Woman becomes his friend; through woman, the future generations come. When his woman dies, he seeks another woman; to woman he is bound. So why call her bad? From her, kings are born. From woman, woman is born; without woman, there would be no one at all." - Guru Nanak
  • "Without music life would be a mistake." - Friedrich Nietzsche
  • "Imagine a world in which every single person on the planet is given free access to the sum of all human knowledge. That's what we're doing." - Jimmy Wales
  • "No person is your friend who demands your silence, or denies your right to grow." - Alice Walker
  • "If you ask a stupid question, you will get a stupid answer." - Anon
  • "To someone you may be the world, but to the world you may be someone." - Anon
  • "The Government is like the Leaning Tower of Pisa: it leans but does not fall." - can't remember the quoter's name...

John Glenn

John Glenn (July 18, 1921 – December 8, 2016) was a United States Marine Corps aviator, astronaut, and politician. Before joining NASA, Glenn was a distinguished fighter pilot in World War II, the Chinese Civil War and the Korean War. In 1957, he made the first supersonic transcontinental flight across the United States. He was one of the Mercury Seven, military test pilots selected in 1959 by NASA as the nation's first astronauts. On February 20, 1962, Glenn flew the Friendship 7 mission, becoming the first American to orbit the Earth, and the fifth person and third American in space. After retiring from NASA, he served from 1974 to 1999 as a Democratic U.S. senator from Ohio. In 1998, Glenn flew on the Space Shuttle Discovery mission STS-95, making him the oldest person to enter Earth orbit and the only person to fly in both Project Mercury and the Space Shuttle program. He received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012. (Full article...)

Tip of the day[edit]

Tip of the day...

Short link pipe trick

Many article titles are disambiguated with parenthetic qualifiers, like this: [[Self (psychology)]]. But when you want to include such a link in the body of an article, this would look rather awkward. So all you have to do is use the "pipe trick", like this: [[Self (psychology)|]]. Notice the "|" character stuck in there at the end of the link? That makes the link look like this: Self, without having to type the name of the link after the pipe!

This trick also works with namespaces, so that [[Wikipedia:Tip of the day|]] (again notice the pipe character) displays like this: Tip of the day.

Picture of the day[edit]

Nave and font of Salisbury Cathedral
Salisbury Cathedral is a Church of England cathedral in the city of Salisbury in Wiltshire, England. Built in early English Gothic style, it was constructed between 1220 and 1258. This photograph, taken in 2014, shows the interior of the cathedral, looking eastwards towards the high altar through the tall and narrow nave. It has three levels: a tall pointed arcade, an open gallery, and a small clerestory. In the foreground is an unconventional modern baptismal font, installed in September 2008. Designed by the water sculptor William Pye, it is the largest working font in any British cathedral. The font is cruciform in shape, and has a 10-foot-wide (3.0 m) vessel filled to its brim with water, designed so that the water overflows in filaments through each corner into bronze gratings embedded in the cathedral's stone floor.Photograph credit: David Iliff
