Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/A Light That Never Comes[edit]

Hello 2.1 Jibbz,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/A Light That Never Comes, may be copied from http://wiki.lpassociation.com/index.php/A_Light_That_Never_Comes. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 17:16, 16 September 2013 (UTC)

A Light That Never Comes[edit]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of A Light That Never Comes, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://wiki.lpassociation.com/index.php/A_Light_That_Never_Comes.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Hello, I'm A.amitkumar. I noticed that you made a change to an article, The Fast and the Furious (series), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.  A m i t  웃   17:49, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

2.1 Jibbz: I read on some webpage stating that Natalie Kelley and Bow Wow are schedule or sign to reappear in the new Fast & Furious movie, I'm not confirm for the 8th and 9th movie, just the 7th movie, I forgot what webpage it was, they wanted to continue the story.

Linkin Park Edits[edit]

Can you please provide a more reliable source that properly clarifies the context of the song "Get Me Gone". 1) can you verify the factual accuracy of the songs lyrics, aside from Mike Shinoda's story. 2) Can you verify he worked for Warner Brother Records. The prose and tone of the article should not refer to critic as 'some guy', and needs to be more specific. Thanks! --  StarScream1007  ►Talk  23:49, 27 September 2013 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Xero (aka Linkin Park)[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Xero (aka Linkin Park). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Linkin Park. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Linkin Park – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. STATic message me! 21:16, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

I was about to give you a final warning about adding unsourced information to articles, to see you've already received two final warnings. So, you are blocked for 3 days. When you return, add reliable sources when adding content. (And proof read them while you're at it too. Some of your additions read very awkwardly.) Sergecross73 msg me 18:51, 8 September 2014 (UTC)

Linkin Park was called Lincoln Park before, they didnt want to be a local band so they also changed it to Linkin Park Shinoda explained on SIRIUSXM's Octane that he mainly wrote most of the guitar work after Meteora well after that song, "QWERTY" which was release on the band 6th annual LPU CD. i know my stuff, i never make a mistake, i triple check before posting it on Wikipedia.2.1 Jibbz (talk) 23:15, 8 September 2014 (UTC)

You need to cite your actual references. For example, Edits like this had no sources, and, if true, was a pretty poorly written summary of the situation. Sergecross73 msg me 01:50, 9 September 2014 (UTC)

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Linkin Park. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. . Again, I will reiterate Sergecross73 sentiment and warning. You absolutely need to cite your sources with an in-line citation from a published and reliable source. --  StarScream1007  ►Talk  01:21, 27 September 2014 (UTC)

October 2014[edit]

Information icon Please take the time to thoroughly read through WP:RS. This is a policy that covers what source editors can use to verify material. A fan site, forum, blog, screen-shot, or fan video does not meet the criteria for a reliable source. Furthermore, one's own research cannot be used to backup a claim (WP:OR). A published article from an attributed writer and a well-known media source is a viable source. I appreciate that your adding sources to articles, but please, make sure they meet our policy. --  StarScream1007  ►Talk  02:31, 13 November 2014 (UTC)

A fan site is not a considered a reliable source by Wikipedia's standards. lplive.net may have accurate information but it cannot be used to verify information on Wikipedia. Unless the website is officially endorsed or sponsored by the band (see WP:FANSITE Item #11), it should not be listed on this website. Thanks, --  StarScream1007  ►Talk  22:30, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
It's in the reference being used to verify the claim at the moment - "MTV EMAs 2014: List of winners" via CBS News. PEr the article, all the EMA winners were in bold-face font and had an asterisk next to their name. Here is second one by Billboard [1], A third source per E! [2] to verify the claim. I found these results by querying Google's search engine. Thanks. --  StarScream1007  ►Talk  00:10, 18 November 2014 (UTC)

I mean that I couldn't find any sources at the time, the video was the only one that existed that point.2.1 Jibbz (talk) 16:09, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

  • Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Hybrid Theory. Again, please do not add content that cannot be verified by a reliable source. If you do not understand this, please read WP:RS and WP:EL - two policies that we have previously sent you. Re; Linkin Park World Tours[edit]

I really haven't been much of a Linkin Park fan since I've joined Wikipedia in 2008, so I haven't really written hardly any of the material about them on the website. I temporarily watched over The Hunting Party because they said they were inspired by their early albums and 90's rock, but once that released and I hated it, I've pretty much backed away from everything Linkin Park. I'm not much of a concert-goer either, so I really wouldn't know much about their tours. You're free to fix these things yourself, just be sure to make your edits according to what third party sources say - Do not remove sourced information without explanation and/or a different source, and do not add information without sources. I stress that since that is what has gotten you your last few blocks. Sergecross73 msg me 13:41, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

The article Darker Than Blood (Linkin Park album) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No legitimate sources. WP:TOOSOON

  • These edits have introduced a ton of unsourced content to a good article. You've been given all sorts of final warnings, and at least 2 blocks, for adding unsourced content to articles. So here's the deal, I'm not going to block you now, (even though I could because we've been through this so many times) but, if I catch you adding unsourced information to articles again, you're going to be blocked from editing indefinitely. No more chances. Sergecross73 msg me 12:40, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
I do not believe you for a second. Those edits look exactly like your writing. Your most recent offenses look exactly like the types of edits you made last April for example. No offense, but you've got a very distinct "rambling" sound to your writing. They look like exactly the type of edits I've warned you about before - they're both rambling and unsourced. Please stop this, and don't make me regret giving you one last chance... Sergecross73 msg me 14:31, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
I still don't believe you, as I find it highly unlikely that the person who hacked you just happened to write in the exact same manner as you and have the same habit of adding unsourced information, but it ultimately doesn't matter. Looking into your history, it seems I've blocked you no less than 4 times in the past for adding unsourced information into articles, which is more chances than most. Whether it was you this time or not, you're still on your last chance. Sergecross73 msg me 17:53, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
I really do not feel like redirecting you to read Wikipedia's policies regarding verifiability and reliable sources for the 15th time. You should probably know better to not believe everything you read online, especially musings intended to be satire. If you genuinely believed this Linkin Park Lawsuit article was true, despite the facts it was posted in a humor section, never cited any sources, and lacked a proper author, then may God have mercy on all of us. I reverted your edit, let's just leave it at that. Please be more careful in the future. Peace, --  StarScream1007  ►Talk  23:09, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
