Please heed feedback

[edit]

Please heed the feedback you are getting from reversals of your edits (often in the edit summary), especially on Bucksburn. To learn the guidelines followed on Wikipedia, you may want to read up on Edit Warring, Reliable Sourcing and the concept of Notability. Not everything that can be traced to a source is noteworthy in an encyclopedia. Information icon If you do not take the time to adapt to "how things are done" here, you may find this talk page starts to accumulate warnings. These usually serve two purposes: (1) to let an editor know that the community is serious about alerting you to violations of the guidelines and conventions here, and often (2) to provide the necessary documentation of warning as a prelude to asking administrators to intervene, usually by blocking editing access for a period of time. Information icon Please stop making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Multiple times, by three different editors, your addition of a list of shops in Bucksburn has been reverted. And it's been explained that Wikipedia is not a directory of items. The shops need reliable secondary sources, not to verify that they are there, but that they have been noted by sources without involvement, and are thus worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. These edits have been reverted again, and now appear to be disruptive. signed, Willondon (talk) 17:24, 6 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Babegriev. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Bucksburn Academy seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Bgv. (talk) 19:56, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Adding lists of shops, facilities, etc. to city/town articles

[edit]

Information icon In the past, more than once, you have added lists of shops and facilities to the Bucksburn article, or other things that have not been shown to be notable by a secondary source. Before you add such items once again, you will want to engage in discussion at the talk page for the Bucksburn article. I wont continue to revert them every time it happens. I'll be looking for a permanent measure to prevent it. signed, Willondon (talk) 23:35, 25 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
