Italian grammar

[edit]

Hi. Thanks for your contribution to the Italian grammar article. I understand your effort to use a lively and amusing style, but perhaps you could limit the use of colloquial idioms (for instance, those about the "mess" of irregular Italian plurals) or nice but unwarranted hyperboles (for instance, the fact that "about 90% of intellectual jobs in Italian end like this", that is, in -logo): this way of exposing may be useful and interesting when lecturing or writing something more personal, but Wikipedia aims at a neutral point of view and tone. Thanks, Goochelaar 16:53, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Actually, they are way less than 90%: think matematico, fisico, chimico, filosofo, insegnante, economista, giornalista, avvocato... :-) --Goochelaar 16:53, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Buffy/Angel episodes

[edit]

Hiya, thanks for contributing to the Buffyverse articles. The WikiProject Buffyverse also hope to make these articles stronger, and as time goes on this will involve citing our sources so that people can verify where information came from. Where did you find the foreign titles of various Buffy/Angel episodes? And you may want to consider mentioning your sources when making uniform changes to many articles (see Wikipedia:Citing sources). Also have you considered joining the WP:Buffy? -- Paxomen 00:50, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Some of your recent edits, such as those you made to Buffy Summers, have been considered unhelpful or unconstructive and have been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Your edits to Karina Lombard

[edit]

While I understood your point about her characters use of improper Italian, the place for that kind of comment is on the Talk Page of an article and not in the actual article itself since you are relying upon your own knowledge in order to make the statement and that makes the statement Original research, which is not allowed. Another editor has edited the OR commnet out of the article. Feel free to add it the Talk Page only.LiPollis 11:04, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition to The Raven in popular culture, regarding the Addams Family, is a little vague. Do you know a specific episode? Season or air date? -Midnightdreary 15:31, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Buffy=Dumb Blonde?

[edit]

Hi, I was looking through Buffy Summers' history page and noticed your continuous attempts to call her a dumb blonde. This made me laugh, as it is true in some cases, and contrary to other editors' opinions, I don't think it is vandalism. Your edits do not seem to be malicious, but in fact seem like you have affection for the character. This is POV, which is banned on Wikipedia, but with a little re-wording I think your edits could still be relevant. Buffy is a bit of a dumb blonde, and her personality and quirks should be acknowledged on the page. I think it is more constructive to edit people's flawed contributions rather than simply delete them. Here is my re-worded version:

Despite her various strengths, Buffy is sometimes portrayed as somewhat of a dumb blonde; Willow describes her in "Chosen" as "nice girl, not that bright." Buffy even mentions this herself in the episode "Goodbye Iowa", telling Dr Angleman, "I feel an attack of dumb blonde coming on." Buffy also has a habit of mangling demon names, much to Giles' irritation; Acathla becomes "Alfa-Alfa, Kakistos becomes "Kissing Toast", and Turok-Han becomes "Chaka Khan."

Only add stuff which is mentioned in the show or other sources, which this is. Wikipedia has whole page on dumb blondes! Also, I'm not sure this belongs in the Powers section. Maybe you could create a personality section, or even put it in the trivia for someone else to incorporate later. If it still gets deleted, why not try moving it to[1], which is apparently more lenient about original research. You seem to write a little too informally; your stuff is good, just a little personal, which isn't fair since others might not share your opinion and this is a neutral website.  :) Paul730 23:23, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spike relationships

[edit]

Why did you delete the "Other" relationships on Spike's page? Your reasons given are;

(Mmm nice! But why when I was editing this with a tenth of words you censored me and now there is a novel about it - not written by me, of course, it's mostly crap - and nobody says a word? If it's not gonna mended I'll erase all. I have begun "Other" chapter in "Spike", and I'll end it if morons and trolls appear.)

This doesn't make much sense to me. If something seems too long in your eyes, condense it or discuss it on the talk page rather than just delete it all. Also, calling other editor's contributions "crap" is frankly rude; your edits to Buffy's page were "mostly crap" and I tried to help you improve them. Your last sentence I can't even make sense of, "morons" and "trolls"? What are you talking about? How are the people who contributed to this section morons and trolls? It seems like you're just bitter about someone having changed your earlier edits, and now you're just deleting stuff out of spite. Paul730 01:22, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Anya/Will

[edit]

You say An and Will will never be true friends. Based on what? In Season 7, it seemed to me that they were pretty good friends (especially in "Same Time, Same Place") when Anya says "it did get a little sexy didn't it?)". What you've written seems a bit POV. The article I Legnanesi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesn't meet WP:CORP or WP:GNG

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Oo7565 (talk) 17:32, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Gabrielle (Xena: Warrior Princess). Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, please use the sandbox instead, where you are given a good deal of freedom in what you write. Geniac (talk) 22:06, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
