Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia!! Just to let you know that adding a parameter to the template documentation won't make it appear in the infobox. If you think it should be added, you'd need to suggest it at the talk page Template talk:Infobox football biography. Though I should advise you that the infobox is for very basic facts about the player - name, birthdate/place, summary of career - and market value isn't a basic fact. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 11:36, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Ahmed Gaafar

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Ahmed Gaafar, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No content (apart from template) and uncertain notability.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 06:22, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Abdou2010egypt! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 728 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Ahmad Jaradi - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Wael Shafik - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  3. Mohsen Hendawy - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 08:54, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Ahmed Mostafa. Our verifiability policy requires that all content be cited to a reliable source. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:11, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for contributing new article Ahmed Abd El-Zaher. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable, by being clearly attributed to reliable sources. Please help by adding more sources to the article you created, and/or by clarifying how the sources already given support the material (see here for how to do inline referencing). Many thanks! PS If you need any help, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me.

You persist in creating articles on Egyptian footballers which do not have the necessary sources to show their notability

Other editors have advised you of these requirements on several previous occasions.

Essential biographical and professional information must be included in articles when first created.

Articles that are not adequately referenced will be subject to nomination for WP:Proposed deletion.

Editors who persistently fail to abide by the article creation requirements, especially WP:BLP, risk being blocked from participating in part or all of the project.

Speedy deletion of Adel Moustafa

[edit]

Hello Abdou2010egypt, this is a message from an automated bot to inform you that the page you created, Adel Moustafa, has been marked for speedy deletion by User:Hersfold non-admin. This has been done because the page is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader (see CSD). If you think the tag was placed in error, please add "{{hangon}}" to the page text, and edit the talk page to explain why the page should not be deleted. If you have a question about this bot, please ask it at User talk:SDPatrolBot II. If you have a question for the user who tagged the article, see User talk:Hersfold non-admin. File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:06---dia-raofat.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 12:34, 16 June 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Image Screening Bot (talk) 12:34, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ramy Rabiea requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the notability of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
