Notability of Monica foster

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Monica foster requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 07:27, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Monica_foster_2009.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. feydey (talk) 08:57, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Monica Foster has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. My edits

Saw your comment on my talk page and I just had to laugh. No, I do not have an agenda against adult entertainers. Let me point you to a few things:

  1. The Wikipedia:P*#Active\list of active participants in Wikipedia:WikiProject Pornography
  2. The permission statement I got from Luke Ford way back when he was operating lukeisback.com for his photos, the bulk of which are porn stars.
  3. The images I got from Xcitement magazine which are present for use on Wikipedia.

I think that's enough said. Tabercil (talk) 03:41, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ma'am, besides the above I'm an administrator, that means I'm supposed to be maintaining order and enforcing the rules. One of these rules is Wikipedia's requirements about notability; if an article is deemed by the Wikipedia community as being non-notable, then it is supposed to be removed. That was why I nominated the article about Monica Foster for deletion, so the Wikipedia community as a whole can debate whether the subject is notable by our standards. And I might also point out that you are in a conflict of interest with regards to your own article - see Wikipedia:Autobiography. Tabercil (talk) 03:56, 21 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
And just to let you know, I moved your comment from Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Priya Rai to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Priya Rai (2nd nomination). The first one is a long-closed debate which caused the article to be deleted the first time, and I believe it's the second one which is the current one which you had intended to vote on.
