A tag has been placed on Airgo Music requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Airgo Music

[edit]

Hi there! Per your email, here's a copy of the article you created that was speedy-deleted. You can find it in your userspace at User:Askkaty2write/Airgo_Music where you can edit it away, add refs, etc before it goes live (if it does). Let me know if you've any questions or problems and I'll see if I can help. Have fun, and belated welcome to Wikipedia :) - Alison 04:01, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, User:Askkaty2write/AirgoMusic

[edit]

Hello, Askkaty2write. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "AirgoMusic".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. DannyS712 (talk) 17:47, 23 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Tatum Lynn has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability per WP:GNG or WP:NMUSIC.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ... discospinster talk 16:53, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the following regarding writing an article:

  • you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the organisation or company, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, logs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company or organisation claims or interviewing its management. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls
  • The notability guidelines for organisations and companies have been updated. The primary criteria has five components that must be evaluated separately and independently to determine if it is met:
  1. significant coverage in
  2. independent,
  3. multiple,
  4. reliable,
  5. secondary sources.
Note that an individual source must meet all four criteria to be counted towards notability. There is actually very little about the museum as such. We don't know who owns it, how it's financed, what it spends, how many people it employs, or what the collection consists of other than the featured exhibit
  • You must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews. Most of your text seems to be promotional rather than factual. Most of the lead para is aims and missions, not facts promotes scholarly research and public appreciation... advocates for a deeper awareness... and the second paragraph is entirely cherry-picked quotes. CIMA's notability doesn't depend on whether people like it or not, and that just looks spammy. Also, despite the general lack of real info, you have masses of details about visiting arrangements.
  • There shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections. That includes the link to the CIMA website.
  • You must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient. With a copyright violation, there is nothing to discuss. Copied text can't be hosted here for any reason.

Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:37, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Image licence?

[edit]

Hi, you've added an image to Center for Italian Modern Art, which you uploaded to Commons as your 'own work', yet the file name says "photo by Walter Smalling Jr" — can you clarify which it is, or whether you and Mr Smalling are indeed the same person? Creating autobiographies

[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself, at Katy Krassner. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. 2A01:4C8:41:F1F7:81A5:6F86:A87:A965 (talk) 05:54, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This was not written by Ms. Krassner. I'm happy to Provide any links or citations needed. Thank you very much for your consideration. Be well. Askkaty2write (talk) 05:59, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Then please read WP:Conflict of interest, particularly the sections about declaring your connection, paid or unpaid, with Ms. Krassner. The article is written with a promotional tone, and contains unsourced personal information that implies a close relationship with the subject. Thanks, 2A01:4C8:41:F1F7:81A5:6F86:A87:A965 (talk) 06:17, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much for the guidance. Will look over. I noticed mentions of her on two Wiki entries and did honest to god research. Will review and make changed Askkaty2writeAskkaty2write (talk) 18:05, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Katy Krassner, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 2A01:4C8:A9:88C4:F03C:8DDF:77C:6D31 (talk) 05:53, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Donald Ray "DJ" Johnson Jr. moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Donald Ray "DJ" Johnson Jr., is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. thank you! I appreciate your advice. I know there are pages for his other band mates and felt he deserved one too (I love the band!). I thought the 6 sources I found were good - can you give me any advice? thank you !! Askkaty2write (talk) 17:51, 1 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm SunDawn. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to Draft:Donald Ray Johnson Jr. because they seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 03:32, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi SunDawn, Thanks for contacting me. It seems like you removed DJ's contribution to a Mac Miller release, which I think is important in establishing him as a musician in his own right. I actually can't understand why the drummer for a band as notable as Khruangbin doesn't have his own Wiki page but I was told to find information that established him away from the band. Which is why I added the Mac Miller credit. Can you please advice? thank you! Askkaty2write (talk) 03:38, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I really appreciate you taking the time to comment even if it wasn't the reply I'd hoped for. I really don't understand how DJ's credentials as a member of an internationally famous touring group isn't enough to warrant his own wiki page, even if the breadth of his work isn't as extensive as his band mates. I have really seen so many unknown musicians who are part of larger bands with their own Wiki pages, I remain perplexed why DJ hasn't made the cut. Any more feedback you could provide would be appreciated! thank you! Askkaty2write (talk) 04:48, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Askkaty2write. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Askkaty2write. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Askkaty2write|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Star Mississippi 18:44, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You’re mistaken. As you can see from my late response , I do not frequently check wiki at all. I’ve added things to pages I know about. Is there something that made you think I was paid to edit a topic? Thank you. Askkaty2write (talk) 20:16, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
