Control copyright icon Hello DEBASISHTANTI07! Your additions to Broiler industry have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Nobody (talk) 05:59, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Correcting pellings and names[edit]

Please don't try to correct spellings in articles. Wikipedia does not give preference to any national variety of English over others. In some cases there is a good reason for using one national variety; for example in the article Winston Churchill it makes sense to use British English, while in the article San Fransisco it makes sense to use US English. However, when there is no such specific reason for preferring one version, it is not acceptable to change content of an article to comply with one's own preferences. Furthermore, if you really think that "distriliaries" is an English word then you should certainly not be even thinking of trying to correct spellings. Also you removed the correct name of a business, supported by the reference coted for it, and replaced it with an incorrect name. Please make sure that you don't try to correct things without first finding out what the correct version is. JBW (talk) 08:59, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No all-caps, please[edit]

Please do not write captions, edit summaries, proposed article titles, or anything else (other than Wikipedia shortlinks, like WP:MOS for the Manual of Style, or actual acronyms/initialisms, like UNESCO) in all-caps. This is considered "yelling". You don't see anyone else doing this, do you? Thanks for your attention to this in the future. - Julietdeltalima (talk) 22:42, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is103.83.145.72 . i don't even edited a single word after my account had been banned to unbannedby wikipedia. DEBASISHTANTI07 (talk) 15:18, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

As I tell so many people in this situation, I have to procedurally decline this since, as you aren't directly blocked, you can edit from another IP. You can also directly address the issue by going to WP:IPECPROXY and following those instructions to request IP block exemption. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:48, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Information icon Hello, I'm Arjayay. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Indian cuisine have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 10:51, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Chicken tikka masala. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 10:53, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Indian food, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. 2A00:23EE:1378:308E:9CB2:F11D:BA63:10E8 (talk) 13:00, 11 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

December 2023[edit]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Biryani. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Please also review guidelines regarding neutral point of view and guidelines regarding inappropriate adjectives. Also, the link you added to Chili's is completely wrong: it is for an article about an American chain restaurant. Plurals in English are not formed with an apostrophe. You may have more success contributing to the Wikipedia in your native language. Thanks. Julietdeltalima (talk) 19:10, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

English[edit]

Hi,

Please stop editing English Wikipedia. You are clearly not a native speaker of English; not a single sentence on your user-page is grammatical English. It's ironic, for example, that you've made a spelling change to an article ("flavor" for "flavour") with the edit-comment "corrected grammatical error fixed". That's not a grammar fix; it's a spelling change from British English to American English, and I don't believe you are expert in either version.
