NASCAR Pole positions, August 2022

[edit]

Hi, I'm user tuwanrovio. I'm just trying to let you know that the way you've been changing pole positions on NASCAR is incorrect. Standad for all races, the winner of the pole position has that race bolded on their career results. For the past two weeks, you have been undoing those edits and leaving them blank. Please do not change those, as it goes against what we have been working on for years. Thanks. — Preceding undated comment added 01:09, 15 August 2022 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm El cid, el campeador. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ‡ Єl Cid of Valencia talk 18:09, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Since the ACC tournament was cancelled, there was no automatic bid to the tournament. Since the NCAA did not have a selection meeting, Louisville wasn't selected as an at large berth. Therefore, even though it is obvious that Louisville was going to the tournament, they were not officially selected for the tournament. I have reverted your edit. Please do not restore it. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 19:10, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been repeatedly warned about making these sorts of edits, yet you persist. Why? There is a discussion here regarding this issue. You are welcome to join and offer your opinion. Continuing to edit war to your preferred version of an article is not acceptable. PLEASE stop. Join the discussion instead. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 19:01, 19 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The transaction is based on anonymous sources and/or awaiting an official announcement. If you believe the transaction has been completed, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Eagles 24/7 (C) 12:40, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We do not change pages after a signing or trade until the team officially announces it. Every single NFL insider can “confirm” it, but it’s not actually confirmed until the team announces it.--Rockchalk717 23:17, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently adding unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Victor Oladipo. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  —Bagumba (talk) 17:47, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Jared Goff / Matthew Stafford

[edit]

Someone already stated it here on your talk page but I'll have to say it again. Per WP:SPORTSTRANS, we do not change the team of a player until there is official confirmation from the teams themselves. Even if the NFL's official social media accounts post about it, they're going off reports from writers not directly associated with teams. Thanks Troutfarm27 (Talk) 04:29, 31 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Adding onto this, the trade is not going to be official until the new league year beginning in March. The Alex Smith trade to Washington a few years ago was reported in January but was not official until March when it was the beginning of the new year.
