The return?

Hello Ebyabe. I hope that you are well. Does this looke familiar? Especially this. best regards to ya! MarnetteD|Talk 21:56, 29 August 2015 (UTC)

Why yes it does. Hadn't heard from it for a while, so was hoping. Oh well.  :) --Ebyabe talk - Attract and Repel22:00, 29 August 2015 (UTC)

I like to edit random articles, I'm not the same user your looking for. I'm just trying to fix some mistakes in some articles. Some information on her is incorrect, and I'm correcting it. 71.232.184.131 (talk) 22:11, 29 August 2015 (UTC)

We shall see what the sockpuppet investigation turns up. In the meantime, please see WP:DUCK. You might want to edit some non-Disney related articles, that'd be a start. --Ebyabe talk - Welfare State23:14, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
Oh, and I removed the dead link and a bunch of unsourced personal stuff from the Bill Farmer article. If this continues, it may wind up being only two or three sentences, since it is hideously unreferenced. Which would be ok, per WP:BIOGRAPHY. Cheers. --Ebyabe talk - Opposites Attract23:23, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
And taken care of here E. Normally I would remove the comment here Talk:Bill Farmer#Personal life information section per WP:DENY but, as you replied to it, I will leave it up to you whether to delete it, collapse it or leave it as is. Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 23:38, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
Well this didn't take long. Sigh. MarnetteD|Talk 18:01, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
@MarnetteD: Plus whenever there's "truth" in the user name, it's likely to be trouble. At least the blocking is happening fast. Not that they'll learn. But then how else would we get our entertainment?  ;) --Ebyabe talk - General Health18:27, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
@MarnetteD: They really hate you. Sad that they have nothing better to do. But we can't help being eeeeevil, can we?  ;) --Ebyabe talk - Welfare State19:23, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
Mwahahaha. It is a thing that we long term editors seem to excel in isn't it :-) OTOH we aren't creating accounts that have personal attacks on other editors as part of their titles. Perhaps, after they get me banned I begin watching my Dr Who DVDs and work my way from 1963 to 2015. My eyes will be tired after that I can tell ya. MarnetteD|Talk 19:41, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
@MarnetteD: I'm interested in how he/they will get us banned. See this. Maybe I can spend more time on Tumblr. And hey, new seasons of Doctor Who and Supernatural starting in about 3 weeks, so it's not like I'd have nothing to do. Cheers! :) --Ebyabe talk - Welfare State19:46, 30 August 2015 (UTC)

Formal mediation has been requested

The Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "VIncent D'Onofrio - Marriage to Greta Scacchi - information has been correct for years, suddenly its getting edited again.". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 7 September 2015.

Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you.

Hi there. I have requested remediation (I hope went about it the right way). Many years ago I had a similar struggle on wiki with this page. You can read the entire progression on the talk part of the page. Could you explain why you feel that what was resolved many years ago, needed to be undone? In the end it doesn't really matter what a webpage says or doesn't say. Yet, this is supposed to be Wikipedia and considered accurate by most. Any new news articles will use wiki as a scourse, perpetuating the mis-information. All the best, Carin Cvanderdonk (talk) 10:00, 31 August 2015 (UTC)

@EvergreenFir: You are quite welcome. Though another has popped up (see above). I already requested a block, and maybe a range block, from Abecedare, who blocked the last one. Oh, and I loooooove baklava, so extra thanks. I really need to get down to Tarpon Springs to get some. Or that's right, the new gyro place in town serves it too. Fat Acceptance article

Hi there! This has become a very difficult change to submit. Marianne Kirby and Lesley Kinzel have created a YouTube channel called Lounging with Pizza, and during their first video they talk about the errors I'm trying to correct on wikipedia's Fat Acceptance movement page. Lesley Kinzel's blog is currently called Two Whole Cakes, but she is originally from Fatshionista, and was co-founder of the Fatshionista livejournal that is linked to in the references, not Marianne Kirby. Additionally, Marianne Kirby is from The Rotund. You can see examples of this by going to therotund.com (which will redirect you to mariannekirby.com, which will show you that Marianne Kirby is The Rotund) and fatshionista.com (which will redirect you to blog.twowholecakes.com, where it shows that it is written by Lesley Kinzel "previously of fatshionista.com"). Can you tell me how to make these corrections in a manner that will not have them reverted for the fourth time? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.146.205.47 (talk) 05:12, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

I have started a discussion at Talk:Fat acceptance movement. Please place your commentary there. Btw, if you keep changing without providing reliable sources, you will likely get blocked. Please do not comment further here, as it is an inappropriate venue for article improvement discussion. --Ebyabe talk - General Health13:33, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

Sorry about that, you had just said to message you on your talk page if I thought the reversion was an error. Will continue any further discussion at the appropriate page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.146.205.47 (talk) 16:45, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

That's OK. I forget sometimes with the automated responses what all they say. Yes, please discuss on the article talk page. But make sure you include reliable sources. If you can't find any, it will probably have to stay the way it is until that changes. Cheers! --Ebyabe talk - Attract and Repel16:50, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

Question

At what age did you discover you were a huge fag0t? Be honest pls this is for science. 168.1.75.51 (talk) 04:08, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

@168.1.75.51: How long have you been unemployed and living in your mother's basement? Or are you just a 12-year-old with nothing better to do. Just curious. And I'm a lesbian, get it right. --Ebyabe talk - Repel All Boarders04:13, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
Hey, I'm the IP who asked the question above. Didn't realize you were gay, sorry. I'm all for equal rights Obergefell v. Hodges bitches! I'm still against fatties 'cause that's a choice but being gay isn't. Vote for Bernie. Peace. 168.1.99.197 (talk) 16:30, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
So it's ok to use that term against a straight person, but not a gay one? I think it's awful to use against anyone, and really immature. And vote for Bernie? Like that's ever going to happen. Fiorina for 2016. Cheers. --Ebyabe talk - Attract and Repel16:52, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
I subscribe to the Lenny Bruce school of thought on that; wasn't wrong 'cause you're gay it was wrong because your gayness makes my intent ambiguous. But seriously Fiorina? When was the last time you heard anyone buy anything HP? 100 year company down the drain. She's wrong for my calculator and wrong for America, that's what I say. Alright, I'm done for realz now. Later fool. 168.1.99.212 (talk) 17:10, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

Reverts

Concerning your compulsive reversions of my edits to Regeneration (Doctor Who), I appear to have encountered that unfortunate combination of spin-off loather and non-registered user hater (you have a userbox to that effect; you believe that all users ought to be forced to register). Tell me, why do you loath spin-off material? Also, I saw no original research in my edits, contrary to your absurd and prejudiced claims. 5.69.65.122 (talk) 19:38, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

@5.69.65.122: First, assume good faith. Even if you think you are in the right and I am wrong. Not doing so will only work to your detriment. Btw dude, I'm far from the only one who is reverting you. Why don't you start a discussion at Talk:Regeneration (Doctor Who) to explain your reasoning and maybe convince others about the changes you wish to make.
And yes, I want all users to be "forced to register". Or rather, encouraged to register, since it's free. I've never understood what the objections to registration are anyway. Perhaps you could explain, Gotha. Oh, sorry, I just figured you're Gotha, since you are restoring all his edits. Cheers! --Ebyabe talk - Attract and Repel19:45, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
I think that your intuition is on the right track E. I'm not sure what will happen at AIV. SPI might be needed if things don't happen there. Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 19:54, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

(edit conflict)I know what you mean about SPI filings. 3rr reports are right up there as time sinks as well. I will take a look and add anything that I can. FYI pings don't work for IPs. You may notice some similarities to the post just above here. MarnetteD|Talk 20:38, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
@MarnetteD: Oh yes, 3rr is really a torture. I often wish there was just one board. I know it would be a hassle for admins, but so many boards to report problems is confusing and tedious, even to long time users. I didn't know ping didn't work with IPs. So I guess they are watching our pages. We shall see what we shall see. Cheers. --Ebyabe talk - Union of Opposites20:43, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
@Ebyabe:@Ebyabe: The 20:33 comment is threatening. I made no personal attack on anyone, any upset I have caused I have apologised for and is minor compared to that. You've genuinely scared me. I find your actions (not the SPI bit) disgusting. 5.69.65.122 (talk) 20:41, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

Not threatening, just following procedures. I'm sorry you find my actions disgusting, but that's all on you mate. You can always report me at WP:ANI. Cheers. --Ebyabe talk - Health and Welfare20:47, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

Thanks! And you're a Blackadder fan too? I knew I liked you for some reason. :) One of my many mottoes is "Sarcasm. It does not become me, but it does sustain me." As far as my irony goes, I am a worshipper at this church. I do like showing that I have nothing (relatively) to hide, which makes me look wonderful and the person complaining about me, not so much. I can't help it if I'm good at pattern-recognition (like sock behaviour) and causing others to commit self-inflicted damage. Anyhoo, pip pip and all that. A little over two weeks to new Who!  :) --Ebyabe talk - Attract and Repel23:30, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

@NeilN: That actually made me lol. Thanks I needed that. I can never understand those la-la-la-stick-their-fingers-in-their-ears-and-ignore-reason people. Some people don't follow the logic train to the end and get off too early. Some don't know how to even find the station. Why do the Darwin Awards come to mind?  ;) --Ebyabe talk - Inspector General23:42, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
Many thanks for the link to the well written and emotional story E. I appreciate the opportunity to read it. New Dr Who is always a much anticipated treat. In the 1980's we had to wait as long as 2 years until the next series/season would air on our local PBS station. Now it is only 7 hours from the UK airing to my getting to enjoy the next adventure so I can't really complain about keeping our Wikiarticles for the episodes off my watchlist to avoid spoilers. Best regards. MarnetteD|Talk 00:02, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
Oh, I remember the days of PBS Doctor Who very well. It still have VHS tapes of most of the 4th through 7th Doctor stories. Don't really need to keep them, since you can find them all over the 'Net, but I keep them for sentimental reasons. :) I kind of lucked out because after my folks and I moved from Miami to Marion County, Florida, an annual convention was held in South Florida for a few years. John Nathan-Turner was the perennial guest, because it was in February. England in February, or expenses-paid trip to Miami in February. Any surprised he was a regular guest. Thing is, he would bring tapes of episodes that were airing in England. I think once he actually brought stuff that hadn't even aired there yet. He brought along Colin Baker before his episodes had shown, so we got to see the outfit in all it's mind-mangling colour. Other fun guests too. :)
Seven hours til airing? I thought the first one was showing on September 19? Or maybe that's just BBC America. Anyway, have fun. I'm back to the Tardis Wikia to finish up articles for the Virgin New Adventures novels characters. Because they're way more relaxed on sourcing. Cheers. :) --Ebyabe talk - Attract and Repel01:00, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
Well seven hours was a guess and could be wrong but I meant that, if the next episode airs at 7pm in the UK, that is noon my time and I only have to wait until its 7pm BBCA telecast to avoid the wikiarticles about each episode. I remember that Florida was a hotbed of Whovians - wasn't it a Florida station that unearthed (get it) episode one of Invasion of the Dinosaurs? I might have that memory mixed up with something else. The Doctor Who Fan Club of America was based here in Denver so I was very lucky to meet many of the people (both in front of and behind the camera) who worked on the show. All of the tapes I made from the PBS broadcasts went to a friend's son and daughter after the last batch of retail tapes went on sale in '03 - Imagine that they were into the show more than two years before the revival. I am glad that you still have some tapes. It can be fun to look back at the old station idents. One last bit of time travel for your perusal. Through a couple flukes (I won't bore you with the details) I was able to go to the 20th Anniversary Convention in Chicago. I still have vivid memories of the weekend. If you have the special edition DVD of The Five Doctors the documentary about the celebrations that went on that year has a few clips of that convention near the end. In one of them Sarah Jane in her Andy Pandy costume (from The Hand of Fear) is on stage with Dr's Two and Three - well I am offscreen right in that very room! I had a delightful joy watching all the specials and events leading up to the 50th Anniversary and thinking "many of you who love the show now weren't even born when I was at that con." I have taken up too much of your "time" - Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 01:38, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
Hi E. You may have N's talk page on your watchlist but in case you don't I think you will enjoy the post about a teacher's use of Blackadder in the classroom here User talk:NeilN#Where to report. Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 16:54, 3 September 2015 (UTC)

FYI

Hello E. I wanted to let you know that this started up today. Only one week to new Who!! MarnetteD|Talk 22:17, 12 September 2015 (UTC)

Through all this, I've been saying why is nothing been done about Scacchi's article. Finally someone seems to have noticed. :) Yay new Who! The two-parter format for the season should prove interesting. I'm also curious as to how River will factor in to the Xmas special (that was announced a few days ago). Cheers! :) --Ebyabe talk - Attract and Repel04:16, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
@MarnetteD: Whilst we weren't looking, the Vincent D'Onofrio article was changed by you-know-who. I changed it back, and left a note on the talk page. I also added more refs to his marriage on the Scacchi article. Overkill, probably, but in this case, it seems the only way to prove the point. By the way, never knew she was in a relationship with Tim Finn. I've been a fan of Split Enz since the late 70s, and Crowded House after that. Who says you don't learn stuff on Wikipedia? ;) --Ebyabe talk - Attract and Repel04:28, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for creating National Register of Historic Places listings in Franklin County, Missouri. Do you think you could help me figure out if this mansion is listed? It doesn't seem to be, but I find that odd.Zigzig20s (talk) 20:42, 12 September 2015 (UTC)

You are welcome. I was on a tear to create separate county pages for NRHPs for a lot of different pages at the time. I doubt that inn is on the NRHP, only because places like that which are will usually plaster it all over their website. I don't see anything like that. Believe me, there are a ton of historic buildings which aren't on the NRHP. Sometimes people just don't want to go through the effort of registration. It also sometimes puts restrictions on remodeling and such. Hope that helps. --Ebyabe talk - Inspector General04:44, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
Do you think it could have an article? Would you be interested in working on it? I'm working on the Rand-Johnson family; they summered at Walter Place (Holly Springs, Mississippi), but apparently resided in this house in St. Albans, Missouri. It wonder if it was also designed by Theodore Link.Zigzig20s (talk) 14:03, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
Just because it's not on the NRHP doesn't mean it does not deserve an article. If you can find enough coverage in third-party reliable sources, it can have one. I see you already have several "sandboxes" for articles. Why not make one like User:Zigzig20s/Studio Inn, then it can be developed at leisure. I don't know how much I can help, but I'll do what I can. Cheers! :) --Ebyabe talk - Inspector General15:11, 13 September 2015 (UTC)
My fear with another sandbox is that I may find another topic to work on and then always leave it on the backburner... This is definitely an article for which working with others is required. Do you think a referenced stub would suffice, or would it need to be a start at least? I'm not sure how much we can find simply online. Btw, I re-requested the book about the Rand/Johnson genealogy; not sure if you are able to send it to me...Zigzig20s (talk) 15:19, 13 September 2015 (UTC)

The Magician's Apprentice

Hello, Ebyabe.

I received your message about my Continuity entries for "The Magician's Apprentice", and I have to disagree with their removal, at least partly.

Most Continuity sections for Doctor Who episodes, both Classic and New, have no citations, and they have been accepted and left alone for years without dispute. Too, similar entries like my entry for Davros' showing the Doctor his past talks with him dot the entire Wiki Who article landscape. As user AlexTheWhovian notes in the History, "Such reappearances are extremely important and also sourced". As examples, just look at the entries for "Evolution of the Daleks" and "Death in Heaven".

As for my other entry about the Doctor's mentioning his prior selves' fashion choice, that, I concede, is just trivia, something any fan of the series would pick up on.

Please review my examples and other Who articles, and you'll see I'm right. Not all Continuity entries need outside sourcing, but can be considered sourced as long as the proper prior episodes are cited, as was mine.

Wild Heron again

I went by to try to figure out Wild Heron. I don't believe the house you photographed is the one in the NRHP nomination form. I didn't find the correct house. I've looked at Google Maps and Google Earth. The aerial view shows a house with three dormers in the front and back, but the one in the NRHP photos has three dormers on the front side only.

https://www.google.com/maps/@31.9692922,-81.2190459,3a,15y,65.9h,89.88t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s-zVhaCS-mYaHr3sS5fDW9Q!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en

But doing a street view of that house

https://www.google.com/maps/place/31%C2%B058'14.0%22N+81%C2%B013'08.0%22W/@31.9690091,-81.2166386,349m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0?hl=en

shows the one you photographed. I wonder if the old house was torn down and replaced. Or maybe it is around there someplace. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 21:33, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

I've emailed the Georgia Historical Office in Savannah to see what they say. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 02:21, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
Good show. Savannah's all about history, like St. Augustine here in Florida, so I'm sure they'll be able to discern what's what. Will be interesting to hear what they say. :) --Ebyabe talk - General Health04:01, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
I finally got information back about Wild Heron. They say that as far as they know, the old house still exists. I'm just about certain that the one you photographed is not it. Their information gives some photos and maps that I think will allow me to find it this time (I was confused by a change in the roads). I'm planning for a second attempt on Monday or Wednesday. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 03:34, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
Good luck with your excursion, sir. :) --Ebyabe talk - Border Town21:45, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
Thanks to the old photos and maps in the info they sent me, I am now pretty sure where the Wild Heron house is supposed to be. They say that it is still there, as far as they know. But I don't see it on Google Maps (satellite view) or Google Earth), so I have my doubts that it is still there. I'm planning to look again Monday. Yes, I went there years ago and I went again recently. I didn't take a photo of that circular thing, but I started an article Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 02:10, 27 September 2015 (UTC)
Huzzah! It deserves an article. As far as the stone circle, for some reason this exchange from The Time of the Doctor comes to mind. :)
Eleventh Doctor: Look... the round things!
Tenth Doctor: Love the round things.
Eleventh Doctor: What are the round things?
Tenth Doctor: No idea. --Ebyabe talk - Opposites Attract02:35, 27 September 2015 (UTC)
That is just wonderful!! It is almost as though Moffat wrote it to go with that pic. Cheers to you both. MarnetteD|Talk 05:10, 27 September 2015 (UTC)
